There is no plan...

I like to plan. I like to plan a lot.

Even when I try not to plan anything, I find myself planning. (Completely unintentional)

I'm also a creature of habit. I like habit. It gives me a sense of knowing.

Like knowing that this cup of coffee is going to do me good.

Having said that...

I also enjoy discovering the path towards the unknown and the flexibility I have inwardly to deviate from one direction to the next. (Flexibility, like an elastic, has its limits too so although I do allow myself to expand, I do also have my boundaries - some that I am able stretch out more than others and others not. But of course, it all depends on what is being stretched ya know?)

I mean....

I know myself and I know how much more I prefer moving at a steady pace rather that going at an unstoppable rate(Mind you, sometimes the fast lane is FUll lessons to be learned along the way even if you are going fast without many opportunities to press on the breaks! And in this particular case, the lesson and reminder would be to pause and breathe.)

But whether we are going fast or slow...

We are bound the come across many of the ebbs and flows in our life journeys that we need to appreciate the fact that everything won't always go as planned - steering us in different directions and leading us to move at a different pace.

**

So in essence...

I can't plan everything (which is okay!) , despite my habitual self in an unpredictable world but...

What I can do is...

Have an open mind with an intention to learn while not losing sight of myself because there is shift in the 'usual'. (Isn't it in the 'unusual' that we are likely to see and find meaning in our very selves and others? Be it in the way we accept and move forward  or, by choosing to stay still until we are able to FUlly digest the unusual at a more manageable pace?)

If anything...

Things aren't always going to go as planned and...

We aren't always going to stay on the same path so...

We need move forward and ready ourselves to expect the unexpected while of course...

Not forgetting to breathe.

Question for you...

Do you like to plan?
Are you okay when things go off-plan?

  2. I like to plan, always have a goal in mind and a path to reach it. My 'To Do' list is never too far away... It structure my head and keep me as far as possible from procrastinating...

  4. Oh I'm very much the same way. I'm a planner and I like having things organized and predictable. But you're absolutely right - not everything will go as planned and we need to be able to adapt and move along with those circumstances, especially at times of the year like now!!
