Think About It....

So I'm sitting here (actually, I'm standing)...

Trying to find something to write about and...

I'm drawing a complete blank.

Usually (like 99% of the time)...

My urge to write comes straight from something...

I've seen, heard, felt, and/or experienced. (And often times too, something I've cooked or baked and wanted to share with you all hehe)

FUrthermore..

The desire to sit myself down in front of a computer (or a journal of sorts)...

Is often brought upon my need to FUrther my thoughts and see perhaps what lesson(s) there is (are) to be learned in the simplest or most complex of things. (Tangible or intangible in nature)

I mean...

It could be as simple, but yet as complex as being grateFUl.

GrateFUl for the freshness of the air.
Life's little things.

Because let me tell you...

Gratitude doesn't come easy to everyone if they aren't willing to see that what they have is plenty.

Why do we always want more?

Like what we have is never enough.

This must have been really good! lol
Recipe for what's in this bowl can be found here.

And why is that the moment we reach a point of when we thought enough was actually enough...

It isn't? (Or it is, but not to the degree we wish it was...)

Is it the media? Is it because we're always asked what's next, like where we are isn't far enough already? That we need more?  Or is it because we feel like our potential hasn't yet been met to the point of satisfaction?

Of course...

It's important to exercise our strengths (encourage growth!) and work on building upon what may not be so strong...

Pushing through.
Literally.

But...

When do we pause, stop, step back (maybe) and perhaps show gratitude towards ourselves (and others) for what we've accomplished (and not just with respect to goals) so far?

And then maybe...

At that point...

Bask in it for a while longer?

I mean really...

Think about it.

Seriously...

Think.about.it.

Over a cup of coffee or something :P

And would you look at that...

I just wrote a post :P

  1. Amen! Gratitude takes work. Happiness takes work. Love this!

  2. Love it! Gratitude should be the basis for all our decisions, and you are always a great person to bring that to light. Especially when it comes to blogging, we should not be forcing ourselves to write about a topic we do not feel in our heart!

  3. It takes work to stop and be grateful instead of pushing towards what's next. I've been in a funk lately and I think it's because I am itching to be looking to what's next but life is forcing me to sit and reflect!
