Stop Rushing and Slow Down...

Is it just me or...

Has the first week of September already come and gone?

If anything...

It seems like the busyness of the Fall season is in FUll swing again as...

Summer slowly quickly comes down to a close.

He has no idea how much cooler it's going to get soon ;)

That said...

I am doing my best to ensure I take my time doing all things I do so that...

I can be sure not to rush the process...

And truly...

Enjoy and appreciate what those extra seconds, minutes, hours etc. can give me, and my overall being! (Sanity lol)

Each step counts.
No 'knead' to rush.

No doubt...

The more we rush....

The more blurry things become and...

As a result...

We potentially miss out on those little things that would otherwise make the experience whole, and complete.

Getting a good rise from taking my time..
Making a good hearty, sourdough loaf.

In other words...

Rushing may take us away from being FUlly present because...

Our minds are already on the next task, level, step, goal we want to get to.

We're found jumping from one thing to another and...

We're not giving ourselves any time to take a deep breath and...

Truly focus on what's in front of us.

The faster you go doesn't mean the quicker that door will open.

FUrthermore...

Rushing becomes exhausting to our well-being both...

In body and mind.

I mean...

When we're always on the go...

Never taking a moment to pause and breathe (even for just a few seconds!)...

We grow TIREd.

Literally ;)
hehe

This is why...

I've become very mindFUl about keeping myself going at a steady pace! (As difficult as it can be sometimes...especially when we feel like we're in the fast lane!)

Of course...

Life moves quickly at times and...

We just have to go with the flow...

But...

If we can simply be aware that perhaps there IS time to slow things down...

It's then that we can...

Give ourselves a little more wiggle room to grow! (By taking advantage of it!)

I mean...

It' s sure to benefit us in long run! (In more ways than one!)

What about you....

Are you in the fast lane right now?
Do you ever take the time to slow things down? Even for just a minute?

Stay Tuned FU More ON *CaNdY FiT*

  2. I'm learning to slow down and really just appreciate more. It's kind of amazing how much more productive you can be and how much more enjoyable things are when you slow the heck down.

  4. I love this reminder. And I needed it with a 6 week old in the house- I find myself looking forward to her being a little bigger and sleeping a little better but I also want to slow down and soak it all up, it goes so fast!

  5. Spot on! I took some time to slow down and reevaluate recently and it helped to refresh and re-energize the things that actually matter to me.

  7. Well, i just raced this past weekend, so RUSHING was kind of my thing on Sunday. But I agree, being in the moment is definitely something I am (always) working on with the first lady.

  8. You have a lot of these posts, but you know what, I need every one! I am often rushing through life, trying to get more done, but I am realizing that less definitely is more. Thanks for being so wise, and I often think of you saying this to me throughout the day, thank you!
