Appreciate and Savour The Now & #RECIPEFRIDAY!

Is it Friday already?

Feels like it was just a few days ago that I got back from vacation ;)

Oh wait...
It has been!

Having said that...

I AM happy it's the weekend because...

It will give me time to get settled in to my home routine again after...

Spending over nine days not really following any! (Unless you count going with the flow as a routine of sorts hehe)

Of course...
Exercising was part of our go-with-the-flow routine.
It's what we do, and love doing.
Working.Out.
I typically started my day fresh with some early morning gym time (most often times, a sweat sesh).
SuperFit and I usually lifted together :)

In addition to getting back into the swing of things...

The weekend will give me ample time to get caught up with Teddy and Zippy...

I can't tell you how much I missed having Teddy sleeping beside me!

As well as...

Giving me some much 'kneaded' time to loaf around!

The last loaves I baked before leaving.
I'm working on my hydration levels ;)

I must admit though...

I did feed my Starter the moment I got home because...

I knew the time I had left it alone was bordering too long! (I didn't want it to die on me since we have become quite close over the past few months!)

So yes...

You guessed right...

I loafed around the second I got home!

I increased my hydration levels yet again and am totally pleased with my air holes.
I am working on making them bigger.
Slowly but surely I will get there :)

So now...

As I take some time to unwind (and finish unpacking)....

I will tell you that...

I will not be rushing to get back to everything all at once because...

If there's one thing (of the many things) my trip has taught me it's that...

I need to slow down more than I have been (or more than I thought I was) and...

I need to be more present with myself, my surroundings and life itself! (I'll save those lessons for another day...but for now, know that I have more of an appreciation for what is happening right in front of me, while savouring it all...like, ALL OF IT (at once)...without capturing the moment other than with my own two eyes (and feelings felt in those instances)...If that makes any sense!)

Also...

That I need to embrace more of my ever-growing and changing self both  inside and out! (Again, something I will speak to later one, when I take the time to sit down and gather my thoughts.)

Appreciating and savouring the NOW.

Having shared all of that...

Do expect more pictures of our vacation away! (And a little recap of sorts sometime soon)

We loved our Royal Caribbean Cruise!

In the meantime...

Do enjoy these great recipes that were submitted during the last #RECIPEFRIDAY!

I'm sure they'll leave you wanting to cook! (I must say, I am happy to be back in my kitchen!)
