Rest, Nourish and Savour.

It's already Wednesday!

After Monday's Family Day holiday...

This week sure has been going by quickly.

That being said...

Since a migraine knocked me out at 830pm last night...

By the time I woke up...

It was already today ;)

Now...

In talking about rest...

Today is a rest day so...

I'm going to take FUll advantage of slowing down and savouring my time to recover and give my body a break.

I won't be headed to the gym tonight.
Instead...
I'll  relaxing in the comfort of my PJs ;)

In addition to that..

I'm going to continue to nourish my being the best way I know how so that...

I can feel at my best both inside and out! (I need to FUel by body and mind right in order to be healthy in both of these areas!)

With that in mind...

Nespresso Coffee in my new handpainted mug (painted by me!)
Low Carb Protein Pancakes with Chocolate Protein Drizzle.
Recipe
Oatmeal Zucchini Protein Bites (squares)
Recipe
Chicken Salad with Sundried Tomatoes and Hummus.
Egg Whites topped with lettuce, mustard grain mustard, and Tabasco (Chipotle) Hot Sauce
Oven Baked Rosemary Sweet Potato Chips.
Sprinkled with sea salt and olive oil.
(Baked at 425F for about 25 minutes)
The new Cookies and Cream Quest Nutrition Bar.
I haven't had it yet...
I'm saving it :)

Okay...

That's enough food to make the puppies start begging ;)

hehe.

  3. We had a 4-day break with one rest day in there for me, however there was too much schlepping of kids to really call it a rest day. Ha! Looking forward to the next one on Monday. Your eats look amazing as always.

  5. Oh I am so sorry to hear you had a migraine. I used to get them a lot, literally the worst thing that ever happened to me. Did you get an aura with it? I used to get blurry lines in my eyes, it was so horrible.

    Glad you are feeling better, and migraines are usually a sign to slow down so you are doing the right thing!

    I am going to take it a bit easier today too. This is my down day for activities, and I plan to make the most of it!

  15. Glad that migraine is gone, I have struggled with them for years and know how debilitating they can be. Today is actually a rest day for me (besides work). I realized I hadn't had a rest day from training in almost 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to some down time and unwinding today!
