Cooking Is Art In The Making...

Coming from...

The non-cook who eventually found a passion for creating (and enjoying) healthy recipes...

Lately...

I've been finding myself more and more in the kitchen, comfortable, and in my zone.

In a way...

It's been a place for me to relax, and slow myself down.

A place to...

Create whatever it is my gut is calling for.

From getting my ingredients together, to chopping up my veggies, to the actual cooking up of the dishes...

Whatever it is I end up making is...

My very own piece of artwork, prepared to my very own liking! (And SuperFit's too!)

Having said that...

I want to share with you a few things I've been making as of late that have been...

FUelling my passion for food, FUn and creativity...

In the kitchen!

I'll be linking up to Jenn's WIAW today :)
Okay...
I didn't make this but it did FUel me ;)
Oatmeal Protein Bites.
Recipe
Extra Lean Spaghetti Sauce
I made this recipe with Bison meat.
I add Tabasco Sauce for an added smoky taste.
Recipe

Doused in Chipotle Tabasco sauce (amazing)
Protein Shake with some added Core Power.
Will be sharing these recipes soon.
And of course...
Some bread making too ;)

Are you creative in the kitchen? Do you find it be an art..of your own?
Do you like exploring and trying new things?

I find cooking an art sometimes as I add a bit of this and that without measuring and you can come up with some great recipes that way.

  20. I love this! Recently, I've changed my outlook in the kitchen, as when I started observing my behavior and mindset toward cooking, though I love it, I was getting some anxiousness that didn't need to be there. I am not Emeril. I don't need to try to be, either.

So, now every time I go into the kitchen to create something, I focus on just that. I will even say to myself, "cooking is art." It can be, and thinking of it that way makes it even more FUN and ONLY fun!
