Slowing Down and Falling Into Life....

As we've already fallen into the month of September...

I can't help but think of all the other things we are about to fall into this season! (Both seasonally and personally!)

Like...
Changing styles.
What I wore to the Cowboy party I attended :)

As I took the time this weekend to reflect upon the changes we are about to experience with the changing of the seasons...

I realized that I need to welcome the change in pace and see that...

Every day, week, month and year that passes are opportunities for us to grow, evolve and...

Continue on our journeys such as life would have us do!

Each season is like a refreshing start/continuance of what...
We already have going on.
Let's embrace it.

Sometimes...

When things get busy and we feel like our daily flow becomes interrupted...

We lose sight or miss to see what is happening right in front of us which is...

Since signing up for the Slow Down Challenge that I came to hear about through Lindsay...

Each day that I've put the daily challenges into practice...

This has enabled me to slow down and...

Truly get a sense of all that is happening in and around me!

While working on slowing down and...

Taking more time to FUlly experience life for all that it has to offer...

This has, in many ways, awakened my senses with respect to all the things I am bound to fall into this season and those ever after!

No doubt...

I am ready!

***

Having said all of that...

Here are a few things I am looking forward to falling into this month!

My birthday! Yep, my birthday is on September 25 and I'm looking forward to another year in the making! There's nothing like having a day where you get to  celebrate the years you have lived and those you will come to live as time passes!

My hair gives my age away right?! hehe

Time with family and friends: there's nothing like spending time with the people you cherish most!

Love these girls.
Birthday Cowboy.
Keeping it real ya'll ;)

The cooler runs: as much as I love the summer weather, the cooler temperatures has been great for my breathing! My lungs feel really good and I'm able to breathe a lot better. My asthma is definitely controlled with the drop in temperature!

And (but not limited to)...

The Grand Prix Cycliste in Montreal: This is an event we attend every year. There's something really amazing about watching the pros cycle through each stage of their race. Much like in life, we must continue pedalling in order to get FUrther in our growth as human beings. Each pedal stroke is an opportunity to move forward.

These are all pretty marvellous things if you ask me :)

What about you...

What are you looking forward to falling into this month?
Have you joined The Slow Down Challenge?
What did you get up to this weekend?

  2. I had a pretty hectic summer, so I am glad to be settling back into my painting and mornings at the gym. My shoulder is much better, so getting back to the weights has been enjoyable. I wouldn't say that I am slowing down, but getting back to a normal routine and back on my Journey at Florida Fitness to lose more weight and be the healthiest I can be. This weekend I helped my brother's with their annual Robert O'Neil Charity Golf, they have raised money for the Heart and Stroke in his memory for the past 5 years, this year they decided to raise the money in my name for the Breast Cancer Society, they raised over 2000.00, it was a tiring day, I am very proud of the work they have done over the years. I walked around during the dinner hour and talked to people to make them aware that Breast Cancer can be beaten with early detection and research, it was amazing how many groups had family touched by this disease, the 50/50 draw of 267.00 was won and donated back, what a great bunch of people. I am feeling inspired.

  6. I think that this month I need to take that challenge! Starting work again I already have a lot of signs of the stress that I thought I had left far behind. My eyes are twitching and my stomach is a mess...and it's only been 4 days! I have so much to slow down for...I don't want to miss a thing!

  14. I really love the idea of the Slow Down challenge...I just don't know if I"d ever be able to put it into practice. Although I am making an effort to chill out more often, even if that just means sitting down and reading for half an hour instead of doing X...sometimes that's all I need. G and I have talked about getting over to Montreal to see that race but it hasn't worked with our schedules....yet! I'm TOTALLY with you, I'm loving the cooler temps for running / cycling. It's so much better for my lungs! And I don't mean to sound creepy or anything but every time I see pics of you and Superfit, I can't help but smile. You guys are so cute and you always look so happy to be together..I think that happiness is infectious. :)
