#RECIPEFRIDAY: Savoury Oatmeal Protein Scramble!

First and foremost...

Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes!

You all know how to make a girl feel FUreakin' special :)

My day was filled smiles, laughter, love (and good food too) and for that...

I am grateFUl!

From start.
To finish!

***

Sometimes...

When we find ourselves scrambling to get things done...

We can also find ourselves scrambling up some the most creative of things in the most unintentional of ways.

Take for instance...

Throwing ideas, outfits and salads together.

One big bowl of veggies and fruits scrambled together to make one tasty meal.

Or (and definitely not limited to)...

Playlists, collages and ingredients!

A new playlist I scrambled together in a moments time.

That being said...

Scrambling in and of itself isn't something we should be striving for as...

We can be much more creative and efficient should we invest ourselves and our time in the things we are doing!

I won't deny though...

There are times in our lives when we will feel rushed to scramble things together but...

As I am reminded to take things slow...

I realize that it is in my hands to turn these scrambling feelings into opportunities!

Opportunities to...

Re-focus and pace myself in all that I am doing! (So that I can savour each and every moment that passes me by!)

No matter how busy life may be or seem...

We have the power to control how fast we go!

If we are always rushing from one task, goal or event to the next then...

We are putting ourselves at risk of missing out on all of the lessons to be learned in-between! (The lessons that will contribute to our growth as individuals!)

The In-Between by Jeff Goins

Having said that...

I am learning more and more to take things slow as the days go by...

Especially when life feels like it is scrambling for time!

So...

To keep with the scrambling theme...

Please enjoy a new recipe I scrambled together in the slowest and most savoury of ways in this edition of #RECIPEFRIDAY!

  7. That's one thing I don't like and that is oatmeal LOL. I grew up on grits. Maybe I should give it another try, and do something like you did to make it taste better.

This recipe looks good! I've bookmarked it and added it to my very long list of must try recipes. I'm having to slow down this weekend as I'm sick so it's my bodies way of telling me it needs some serious rest!

Inspiring and on point post as always, have a great weekend.

  14. Kierston, this morning I thought about you or actually something you said on your blog. I was fortunate enough to participate in a Lululemon yoga practice in a ball stadium with 100s of people. Despite the crowd and excitement, for 1 whole hour I slowed down and lived totally in the moment. I experienced the present :)

    Yummy recipe!
