Savour Your Energy...

Over the past little while...

I've become more and more grateFUl for all the savoury goodness that's been FUelling my being as it has enabled me to...

Do all the things I've been asking of it.

I ran my very first 26km (16.25miles) this past weekend!

I mean...

By taking the time to nourish my body with the love it requires to be happy...

Not only have I been able to feel at my FUllest but...

I've been able to live at my FUllest too!

That's right folks ;)

In my 3 1/2 year journey into health and fitness...

I've learned (and continue to learn) the importance of FUelling my body right as well as...

How to take better care of my overall-self! (From the inside out!)

FUrthermore...

I've learned that no matter what it is I'm doing, physically and mentally....

Giving my body and mind what they need to feel at their best is in my hands! (I have a choice as to how I want to treat my body and, I've chosen to treat it right.)

I have a choice to swing in whatever direction I choose to.
The healthy way or my old ways.

That being said...

With all of the benefits I've been able to feel as a result of my lifestyle transition...

There's not a day that goes by that...

I do not savour all of my energy given everything I've been able to experience because of it! (I did not know what my body was capable of until I started caring for it!)

And, as a result of this...

I've been able to deepen my appreciation for all things that FUel me! (This FUel that allows me to be, feel and perform (mentally and physically) at my strongest!)

Savouring life is something that I'm becoming more and more mindFUl of so...

As I continue moving forward in my journey...

I will continue savouring and enjoying all the things that this flavourFUl life has to offer me!

Having shared all of that...

Here are a few savoury goods that I've been FUelling with over the past week!

Linking up to Jenn's What I Ate Wednesday!

Savouring are the eats that get you up and energized in the morning...

Oatmeal Protein Bites.

Savouring are the new discoveries that you make along the way...

Who knew these two things would make for great cookies!
Recipe

Savouring are those feelings that fill your cup of tea...

Or coffee ;)

Savouring are the mish mashes you come to enjoy no matter how strange the combination...

Dijon Mustard Grain Salmon, Salad, Veggies and Hummus.
Char Crusted Chicken, Broccoli, Peppers, Avocado and Hummus.
Chicken Shirataki Noodle Bowl with Lettuce, Sumac and Chili Sauce.

Savouring are those moments that FUel and fill you after exercising...

Post 26km run noodle bowl.
Steamed chicken, noodles, peanuts and veggies from New Mee FUng.

And lastly (but certainly not the least)...

Savouring is the love you get to share with one another as well as...

The opportunity you get to slow down together!

And...
Look into each other's eyes too hehe

Question FU You...

What have you been savouring lately?

  6. Oatmeal protein bites?? Did you make those yourself? They look so good. What I've been savoring lately is spending time with my bf planning our trip to Florida next week. Can't wait for it! We're both so excited and have lots of great plans.

  17. Those cookies look great! That noodle bowl looks similar to a dish I always get from my favourite Vietnamese place that has noodles, lettuce, grated zucchini, carrot, lettuce and chicken. It is so so good!!

You keep reminding me with my posts to slow down, which is a good thing :)
