Disconnecting to Reconnect!

Hey everyone...

I hope this day finds you well!

I know it finds me looking for a little break and, a little...

Refreshment!

No...not that kind!

What do I mean exactly?

As I've been doing a lot of self-reflection lately...

I've decided that I need to disconnect myself a little bit in order to reconnect with, well...

Me!

Over the past little while...

I've been thinking more and more about my need to step back and...

Focus more on living, being & doing! (More rather than less!)

As I realize I do do a lot...

I also realize that...

I'm not doing enough on the spiritual side of things! (Simply living in the moment and focusing on the now rather than the next!)

As much as I love being connected  (I really do!)...

To my phone and all forms of electronics!

I need to disconnect!(Plain and simple! I know I've talked about this before but I just don't think I've been doing enough of it!)

So what does this mean?

I means that...

I'm going to be giving myself a little social media breathing space so that...

I can focus and give more time to my overall self, my relationships and...

To life itself! (Just living, being and doing whatever feels right in the moment!)

Catching my breath ;)

So, with that being said...

I'll be taking a week (or so) off the blog and...

I'll be cutting down on my facebooking, instagraming and tweeting! (Limiting how often I check and post to them!)

I'll admit...

It will be a bit weird to take a break from the blog (because it's become a part of me!) but...

I truly believe...

It will be good for me to step back, refocus and let myself look up at the world as opposed down at it on my screen(s)! (If you know what I mean! lol)

**As much as I want to stay connected, I know deep down I need to detach myself a little bit.  I mean, I love sharing what I'm doing and my experiences through life as well as sharing what I'm learning as I go along but, there comes a point where I need to just be without attaching a picture to it. I need to step back and reflect more upon the things I am learning; I need to pause and reconnect with life and myself as a whole!**

At the end of the day (and realistically speaking)...

We all need a break and some resting time from those things we love doing too! (Much like taking physical rest days are good, so are mental ones! I need to recharge my brain! lol)

Having said that..

I'm going to disconnect now in order to reconnect with...

Me, myself and I! (And of course, those in and around me too!)

Question FU You...

When's the last time you disconnected?

Stay Tuned FU More On *CaNdY FiT* (I'll be back before you know it!)

I can not agree more, I have my weekend cottage getaway with no cell phone, no TV, no day to day drama ;) or work burden, just a quiet time with my hubby and my little animal family. Enjoy your disconnection time and have some fun with people who matter the most in your life.

  10. We all need to do this from time to time! I make it a point to put the computer away, phone down, and just play with my girls every day after school. They need just me...my whole attention...and I need them too!! Enjoy your time of recharging!

  12. On vacation, I cut way back on internet and SM. I just cleared out unread email and FB notifications and that's it. I didn't really miss it that much; but beware! Vacations can be a shock on both the scale and your Klout score! ;-)

  21. Enjoy the much deserved break :)

Last time I disconnected from everything was in January when I went on holiday for 3 weeks in Hawaii. No social media. Limited Internet to look up local places only and that was it. I always feel better after I do it.
