Standing Strong and Proud!

Hey everyone…

I hope this day finds you well!

It finds me ready to kick start my day :)

As I’m now just 3 weeks away to my competition

I just wanted to give you all an update on how things are going and…

Share with you some thoughts I’ve come to think about over the past little while.

First off…

I had my rendez-vous with Joan last week and...

I seriously can’t wait for the day when I actually get to put on my suits! (The suits are a reflection of who I am and, I LOVE IT!)

Needless to say...

I'm excited to pick up the final products within the coming days! (Totally pumped!)

And, I think it goes without saying…

I am so grateful for my sponsorship with Day Dreams FitnessWear and…

I recommend anyone who is competing to get yourself connected with Joan as she will custom design and make a suit FIT to you and YOUR body! (If you’re in the U.S. that’s not a problem! She’s got plenty of clients in the States!)

Joan and I working together throughout the years!

As the OPA Ontario Championships is fast approaching…

If you're interested in coming out to the show...
You can get your ticket here!
(Prejudging at 8am and Final at 1pm on Saturday June 1)

I can’t help but think about how much I’ve come to learn about myself throughout this prep! (Actually, there have been many lessons to be learned throughout all of my preps!)

Through the great days, good days, harder days (and emotional ones)

Tough day ;)

Each and every day has proven to be a learning experience on many levels!

Both in body and mind…

My goal to get competition ready has shown me that…

It’s really up to ME to get myself to where I want to go!

In MC Hammer pants and all.

With the program and diet that I’ve been following via myCoach (SuperFit)

I know that by staying true to what he gives me (to a T) will generate the results I (we) are looking for and…

It will make me stand proud (both on and off stage), knowing that...

I gave 110% of myself to my goal!

I love him and I'm grateFUl to have him as my Coach and best friend.

I mean…

The last thing I want is step on stage and regret the fact that I didn’t put all of myself into it!

Or…

Be on stage and think to myself…

I shouldn’t have cheated on my diet, I shouldn’t have skipped on my workout or I should have listened to my Coach’s plan and advice!

What I want is…

To compete strong and proud! (And, I plan on doing just that!)

No matter how long it takes me to reach my goal (or will have taken me)

I’m committed to the end! (No if and's or buts about it!)

Like I’ve said before…

Competing is a choice and…

It’s choice I've made so...

No doubt about it...

It’s a goal I'm holding myself accountable to until I reach it! (I’m accountable for my own actions, nobody else!)

I'm in charge!

In other words…

I am in charge of taking control of what I want to achieve so…

I refuse to cheat myself from the progress and results I am seeking!

No matter if derailing from my plan doesn’t affect my progress…

I don’t care! (Why would I cheat myself from something I’ve committed myself to? It’s my goal and I’ve got the lead!)

The point of committing myself to competing in the first place was…

To enjoy the journey, learn from it and…

Become stronger as I go along! (And, that’s how I’m living it!)

Actually...
It's how I plan on living my life.
Period.

By competing and having a goal in place…

It shows me that I can do it and…

That I am strong! (Trust me, I’ve had ups, downs and an incredibly slow start but, I've kept my head up high and was patient with myself and my body up until this point! As time goes on, I will continue to be strong both in my prep and in life!)

Furthermore…

When it comes to competing in and of itself…

I refuse to compare myself and what I’m doing to others!

Why?

Because I am who I am  (inside and out) and…

What I bring to the stage is 110% of the efforts I put towards myself and my goal!

At the end of the day…

What matters to me most is…

What I’m doing for myself in being and bringing out the best person I can be in everything I do!

  29. You are strong and proud and thats why I love following your journey to the stage. It's inspiring and makes me want to continue on in my own journey.
I used to have a terrible habit of allowing what others said to me about my weight/diet affect my every move. I'm glad I'm now listening to my body and doing what is right for ME. That's something that many people have a hard time understand, not every BODY is the same. We all have different needs and different goals we're working towards. What's really important is the support we provide to one another along the way!
I'm so pumped for you as the big day is approaching! You will feel your best the day you're standing on that stage - strong and proud!
