#RECIPEFRIDAY: Quick & Easy Extra Lean Spaghetti Sauce!

Hey everyone and...

Happy #RECIPEFRIDAY to you!

After a crazy work week...
I get to spend tonight in my own bed! :)

Before I get into today's recipe...

I just have to tell you how much FUn I had at yesterday's blogger meet up!

I got to hook up with Krysten again and...

I got to meet Morgan and Jess for the very first time too!

These girls are amazing and...

I had such a great FUreakin' time hanging out with them over coffee!

FUn times!
From left to right:
Me (duh lol), Morgan, Krysten and Jess)

What's even more awesome is that...

I get to see them again tomorrow at our FitFluential meet-up for our upcoming race on Sunday! (And yes, I will be wearing the Banana Suit!)

Needless to say...

I'm excited for the weekend (yep, I'm heading back to Toronto tomorrow with SuperFit lol) and...

I'm pumped to meet everyone who will be coming out for the meet up and the race! (Pavement Runner, I hope you've been practising your #FUFACE!)

Yeee! I can't wait! (Did I say that already?)

On with the recipe friends!

I'm sharing something I made for SuperFit a few weeks ago! (And, something I've been making on the regular ever since!)

As you know...

I'm prepping for my competition so...

I've been preparing separate eats for both SuperFit and me! (He's a clean/lean eater already so often times we will have the same things but, not always! That being said, I just have to say how much of a great support he's been to me throughout my competition prep! Like, he's been ultra-clean with his eats just for me and, I couldn't be more grateFUl for that! Love him!)

Having said that...

I know SuperFit enjoys a good plate of spag so..

I decided to make him a classic meat sauce! (One that would FIT within his own regiment!)

And, because he's been lovin' it...

I decided to share the recipe with you all today!

I hope you enjoy it too! (Let me know if you like it since this ain't included in my prep to the stage!)

    1. Thanks! Can't wait to meet everyone!

Yes, over spag squash or a sweet potato would be yummers for sure!

  7. I've never made my own spag sauce before but now I might have to give it a go! This looks really good. Have fun at the race btw!

  8. How fun!! I so wish I could be there to join in with all of you- and Brian has an awesome fu face. :) Delicious recipe too!

    1. He totally does! Wish you could be there too! One day we shall meet!

  9. So exciting - love that Pavement Runner has been practicing the FUFACE! I pretty much never buy spaghetti sauce unless it's some fancy gourmet one that I want to taste the flavor profile of. I always make large batches of my own and jar them. Takes just a little bit of time, but so worth it.

  10. YUM! Looks delicious as always! YAY CAN't Wait for tomorrow!!!

  11. GREAT sauce recipe! Definitely bookmarking this.

Plans for the weekend = the usual (gym and studying).

    Happy Friday!

  12. I am so excited for you that you get to meet up with such amazing folks! Have a blast and give everyone a hug from me. The sauce looks amaze balls as usual!

  13. Have a great time at the fitfluential meet up and the race, can't wait to read all about it!!!

I love making my own tomato sauce but I don't do it very often. It can be time consuming the way that I do it, and I'd much rather spend that extra time running.

  14. I"m so jealous of you all meeting up! Have a great time this weekend and enjoy your race.

  15. ***calculating in my mind how long it would take me to get to Toronto from New Hampshire***
    Have fun!

  16. Yum!!! I love spaghetti! And extra lean sounds fabulous! Have a great race! I'm jealous of the meet-up!

  17. HAVE FUN!!! I can't wait to see all the pics!!! ;)

  18. Yum I love spaghetti sauce. I always make a huge batch of it full of veggies and then freeze it to have on nights I can't be bothered to cook :)

Thanks for doing the recipe link up.

  19. Thank you for the recipe! And best of luck on Sunday-it looks like so much fun! :)

  20. AnonymousMay 04, 2013

Sometimes I make my own sauce and sometimes I just get all natural sauce. I always check the ingredients. What type of noodles is Super Fit eating?

  21. I am Italian so homemade sauce is my favorite! BUT I tend to keep a jar or two around for in a pinch or for pizzas. Sounds yummy. I love a good bogonese meat sauce!

  22. I'm so lazy - I use a jar. But your sauce sounds yummy and pretty easy, so I might be able to manage that LOL.
