Competition Prep: On The Road and No Excuses!

Hey everyone and...

Happy What I Ate Wednesday to you!

As some of you may know...

I'm currently on the road!

And will be for a little while because....

I'll be going to the Fitfluential Race Meet-up and taking part in the 5K Race I'll be running with SuperFit over the weekend!

Needless to say...

I'm really looking forward to the FUn ahead!

In light of it being Wednesday and all...

Today I get to share with you some of my eats as I get ready for the OPA Ontario Championships coming up in less than 4.5 weeks!

If you're in the Toronto area and want to check it out...
Check here for more info!

I can't get over how fast the days are going by!

Having said that...

Things are moving along and...

Coach SuperFit and I are happy with how things are progressing!

At the hotel gym getting my workout on!

Like I said...

I'm on the road so I definitely made a point to...

Prep my food and special order my meals ahead of time! (Everything steamed please and thank you! Plain and simple. No conFUsion to be had! lol)

I'm making sure to get my workouts in so that I'm right on schedule with my program! (Lucky for me, the gym where I'm at has everything I need!)

I did shoulders yesterday and will be doing legs today!

I mean...

There's no way I'd ever let my prep to the stage veer off track because I didn't plan ahead! (I'm committed to my the end! No excuses! No if, and's or buts about it! )

Oh and speaking of my competition and all....

Did I mention I get to pick up my competition suits next week from my sponsor, Joan from Daydreams Fitness Wear!

I am and...

I'm totally, totally excited to see and try them out (yes, them!) in their final stages!!!!

Okay so...

On with the eats shall we!

But first...

Let me thank Jenn from Peas and Crayons for this great link up! (Thanks Jenn!)

  1. Love it! Fish is delicious. I'm a huge salmon fan, like you, but trout is delicious.

The more I run, the more I have more carbs than protein. But I LOVE protein.

And on the go, you have to try and keep up a routine. Way to sick to it!

  2. You are my instagram friend! I always love seeing your pics!! The food looks delicious! Loving the protein oatmeal bites, how fun!

  3. YOUR ARMS LOOK AMAZING!! And you are a rockstar!

  5. such delicious eats even on the road!!

  6. A month to go?! Time is FLYING!

I had ranbow trout this week too. Did mine with lemon, dill, and onion. You can also broil the skin and eat it like chips. Sounds weird, but it's good!

  7. You look fabulous! What dedication?!

  8. The food looks yummy and you look amazing! Great work and dedication!

  15. AnonymousMay 01, 2013

Way to prep for success lady! I love trout, although usually never make it at home! I'm getting ready to head out of town for work so need to get some planning together. Happy Wednesday!

  16. YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! I love how you show people they can eat healthy no matter what. So much fun coming up for you!

  17. You are always amazing and inspire me!!!

  18. wow! progress is right - You're looking amazing!
Great job on planning ahead and prepping - anytime I travel I have to at least have an area to run and/or a gym with good equipment. I'll pay the little bit extra for it! Excited to see all the stories that come out of the FitFluential meet/run weekend :)

  19. Wow! You look great!! :)

I love that your gym shirt is of cookie monster! ;)

  20. I so need to get some Mrs Dash shipped over to Australia. Unfortunately they do not have it here. That chicken looks delicious!

  21. YOu got this! great prep for travel and all! Love the trout!

  22. I plan ahead as much as I can when we are on the road. I remember when my hubby was just starting dieting for his show and we went to Sesame Place. He packed a HUGE cooler full of food so he could stay on track! You are going to rock this show!! I have to ask...any favorite exercises for arms? I'm needing to get rid of the flabs and have fabulous arms this summer but I am at a loss for exercises.

  23. I nominated you for the One Lovely Blog Award! (:

  24. I give you so much credit for your dedication, it amazes me.

When traveling I look for hotels that have places I can run outside, or a nice gym inside with some cardio and weights. I don't always stay as on track as I would be at home, but I still get some workouts in! (I love walking/running around new places, so I usually get that in at least!)

  25. When I'm on the road, I try to keep with my program, but I do allow myself a few cheats. Although, I'm not prepping for a competition, just trying to lose weight :)

I think it's amazing the prep work you did! Gym and food. It's inspiring to see that it CAN work :)

  26. You are looking incredible! Good eats and hotel gym excuses! Thanks for the motivation!!
