#RECIPEFRIDAY: Clean and Savoury Ultra Low Carb Chicken Pizza!

Hi everyone and...

Before I get into today's tasty recipe...

I just gotta say that I am beyond excited that it's Friday as...

This week has felt quite long on my end! (I plan on getting in some good rest and relaxation over the next couple of days by simply taking it easy and by minimizing my what's on plate a little bit!)

Only a few things left to get done and I shall savour the rest.
Literally ;)
There will be lots of cuddling with my Teddy Bear no doubt :)

Onto this yummy recipe I have to share with you all!

As you know...

I'm currently getting ready for the OPA Ontario Championships coming in June so...

I've been keeping things in my kitchen competition friendly!

As I found myself looking for a little something savoury to get in my belly after a workout one day...

I decided to get creative and satisfy exactly what it is I wanted!

A delicious Pizza! (à la FU!)

Seeing that I've been carb cycling lately...

I had to rethink how I was going to make what I wanted (given what I could play with on this particular day in my cycle) which...

I did! (There were no two buts about it!)

Hello ultra low carb pizza!
Mmmmm Mmmm!

After taking my first bite...

I found myself with barely any left after my second! (I may have inhaled it lol)

I looked like this with every bite.

With all of that being said and eaten...

You're probably tired of me talking about how good my pizza was so...

I'll stop right now and share with you the recipe for my...

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes

    For the 'crust'

Note: You can opt out of the chicken and replace with ToFU.

    For the Crust
    1. Preheat your oven to bake at 375F
    2. In a bowl, combine the egg whites, flax seeds and baking powder
    3. In a lightly sprayed olive oil coated fry pan, pour in the mixture
    4. Once one side has browned, flip over to the cook the other side (make sure not to break the round shape)
    5. Once cooked, remove from oven and place onto a baking tray
    6. Let cool for about 2 minutes

    The Toppings
    1. Add the chili sauce (or tomato sauce) first, followed by each of the remaining ingredients as listed.
    2. Switch the oven to broil, and place the baking pan in the oven for about 10 minutes (until cheese has melted and slightly browned)
    3. Remove from oven and enjoy!

    Keep in mind...

Competition dieting is very individual and no two people follow the same exact diet! (As our bodies and metabolism all work differently!)

I follow and work within the program I've been given! (My program and diet is tailored to me.)

Now that I've given you my recipe it's your turn to share yours!

I can't wait to see what you've cooked up!

    Have a great day!

    1. This looks so delicious. Shame that I just had dinner, pizza would have hit the spot nicely.

I always go crazy with mushrooms, peppers and chillies on my pizzas; can't get enough of them.

    2. YES!! That will be my Sunday Dinner! It looks SO good. I love Pizza, though I don't eat it that much. If so, there is always smoked ham and rucola!

    3. Wow. I will have to try making that crust. Although I'm afraid of the flipping-without-breaking step. I'm not so adept at moves like that!

    4. YUM! ok i really like how the crust has just a few ingredients... i've always wanted to make my own "healthy" crust, but all the recipes i've seen are way too involved. this looks doable!

    5. This might just be the thing I need in order to make an omlette-like creation. I cannot do them withouht flipping but this way I can have eggs and all the good fillings without it turning into a scramble! :)

    6. I love non crust crust! Cauliflower is awesome too!

    7. I see this for dinner tomorrow night ;)

    8. Wow! That looks great!!

    9. I might just try this crust this weekend, yum!

    10. I've been wanting to experiment with a low carb pizza crust. I've been seeing that cauliflower one, and I've thought about trying a crispy almond meal one, but I love the egg whites and flax seeds--so smart! I also love that you told I could eat as much cheese as I wanted. That's like granting permission for happiness ;)

    11. yum! If I ever do another competition, you can bet I'm going to scour your site for all these amazing recipes.

    12. Oh Yum, I need to make that pizza. Looks delish!

    13. whoa. Holy FuReaking Yum indeed!

    14. This looks so yummy!! I will be trying it when I go home from college!!

    15. flaxseed crust!! oh i am making this! tonight!

    16. Awe, you hit my weakness Pizza!!! But this looks so much healthier (and yummy) than the normal slices I eat:) This looks like dinner tonight:) YUM!

    17. That looks delicious!! So smart to use egg whites for the crust. And I want to cuddle with Teddy too! Seriously, cutest dog ever.

    18. Woah, what a genious idea... that looks amazing! Have a great weekend!

    19. OOOH awesome pizza recipe!!

      Enjoy your weekend!!

Plans for the weekend = celebrating my 25th birthday (it's on Saturday!)

    20. Yum...I do love me some pizza and I love that this is low carb. Great job, once again, on creating an awesome, tweaked recipe!

    21. I keep seeing the mention of Allégro Cheese. Why is this a better choice for a competition diet?

The pizza looks and sounds amazing!

      1. The fat and calorie content :)

    22. Easiest crust recipe I've ever seen, NEED TO TRY!!

    23. Another awesome recipe from Kierston Kitchen! Now I want pizza for dinner :)

    24. ALL OF THIS IS TOTALLY HAPPENING... Minus the CHEESE!! Holy Moly KABOLE!! Ah ha ha, Kabole?? Yeah, not sure where that came from... But hot dog, I want this WHOLE PIZZA right now... However, I probably shouldn't because sometimes FLAX makes me.... A LITTLE (aka: A LOT) bloated! lol

      I'LL RISK IT!

    25. That sounds amazing!!!!!! So you did not save anything for Teddy??? ;)

    26. I love pizza! Your recipes rock!!

    27. I like flax wraps and crusts too. Discovered them when I quit grains a while back.

Your pizza looks goooood. Did Teddy get a bite?

    28. What an interesting crust! Such a pretty pizza!

    29. Wow that recipe looks awesome! I love how creative you are!

your dog is too cute :)

    30. LOVE it! you really do need a cookbook

    31. Teddy is cute and that pizza looks amazing! Thanks for sharing! I need to try this!!
