My Only Temptation: My Goal!

Good day everyone and...

Happy What I Ate Wednesday to you!


In following with weekly tradition...

Today I get to share with you a glimpse into what I've been eating for my upcoming Fitness Competition through Jenn's...

As we just celebrated Easter in my Family...

There's no denying the amount of festive eats there was be had for which...

I didn't have!

My Mom rocks with her homemade appz!
My brother made the Guacamole!
My Mom also made this Caramel Chocolate Tart!

But, you know what...

Not for one second was I tempted to 'cheat' on my diet or even give in to temptation as...

My goal is far more tempting to me! (It sure is! I mean, I'm preparing for a competition (which was my decision) so, why would I sabotage myself and my goals?!)

I gotta say though...

I couldn't be more grateFUl to have a family that ensures I have something clean to eat! (Without me even asking for it! No doubt, the support I have is absolutely incredible!)

She made Turkey instead of the traditional Ham
I brought my own salad dressing which...
Consisted of Dijon Mustard, Balsamic Vinegar and Pepper only.

If one's things for sure...

I've got my eye on my goal and...

Not on the things that would deter me away from it!

I mean...

I've got 9 weeks to go and nothing is more satisfying than to know I'm giving my prep 110%!


Stepping on stage without any regrets is what I plan to do so...

You better believe...

I'm not going to let 'temptation' get in the way of it! (I don't even want to call it temptation as I'm not even tempted. Yes, the cakes, desserts and whatever else that's not included in my diet look good but, not good enough!)


With all of that being said...

Here's a peek into what I've been eating as of late! (Which, in my opinion, is tasty!)

No Carb Egg White Bites
Protein Oats!
I can't get enough of my Nespresso!
Like, I'm seriously not kidding!
Salmon Salad.
Chicken Salad!

Here it is!

Clean and Tasty Oven Baked Chicken

by *CaNdY FiT*
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 15-20 minutes

Spices for Chicken Breasts:
  • Pinch of Garlic Powder (or Garlic Salt if you're not watching your sodium)
  • Pinch of Dried Oregano
  • Pinch of Chili Flakes
  • Pinch of Paprika
  • Pinch of Fresh Rosemary
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp Dijon Mustard Grain per Chicken Breast
  1. Pre heat your oven to 375F
  2. Line your large baking pan with aluminium foil and add your chicken breast(s)
  3. Add seasoning to each chicken breast (you can coat your chicken in a separate bowl if you so choose)
  4. Place baking pan in the oven and cook for about 15-20 minutes (until chicken is cooked)
  5. Remove from oven and serve alongside a carb of choice (optional), veggies and/or salad
  • Don't overcook your chicken as it will get dry.

    1. I know how easy it can be to overdo it without resting. I was definitely like that when I first started. I'm more mindful now to step back and chill and give my body a break :)

  13. I agree, why would one sabatoge their own choices and decisions? That spice mixture for your chicken looks good. I love baked chicken breasts and I haven't tried roasted broccoli. hmmm

  17. I think my biggest temptation is just eating too much. I have my chocolate cravings, like most, but my bigger problem is snacking. Sometimes I can't control the number of snacks I have, they may be healthy (most of the time they are)but too much can still be bad

  19. Those cinnamon egg white bites look like a great snack. Are they freezable or do you keep them just in the fridge?

    1. I eat 'em all lol I wouldn't put them in the freezer...perhaps the fridge but it would lose their crunch!

  20. I love, love, love your meal ideas! AND I made the muffin bites, with cinnamon mixed with the stevia and had to stop myself. Good for you and all your major willpower on Easter! Keep it up!!

    We had our Easter brunch at a restaurant in San Diego. Let's just say vegan eats are not their priority. I ate a lot of fruit :-)

    I agree with you, though. Though some of the food looked good (they had these little creme brulee bites!), I wasn't really tempted because my reasons for my diet and lifestyle are so important to me.
