Little Things Monday #4: Finding Happiness in the Little Things!

Hi everyone and...

Welcome to Little Things Monday!

As some of you may already know (my vacation ends today...boo!)...

Every Monday I share with you all the little things in my life that make it whole!

By consciously taking moments out of my day to think about all the things I have to be grateFUl for...

I've come to appreciate and be thankFUl for (on a whole different level) everything I have and everything that surrounds me!

Having said that...

Here are a few special little things in my life that have brought lots of happiness into it!

Let's start with...

The road trip to Toronto with my brother and little sister: The 5 hour long drive went by so quickly! Lots of talking, joking and laughing! It was lots of FUn and I was grateFUl for the smiles shared!

My BIG brother's 30th birthday (the reason why I went on the road trip): I'm really happy I got to celebrate his birthday with him and his friends in Toronto (where he lives now!). The two nights I spent in the city were awesome and I enjoyed simply spending quality time with my BIG BRO!

You can read more about his birthday celebrations here!

My first blogger meet-up ever:  I was totally *blogger starstruck* when I met Krysten in real life! Like I mentioned yesterday, she was as amazing, both inside and out, as she is in her blog! I can't wait for us to meet again!

Playing: In the snow with the puppies. The simplicity of going out and playing with the pups fills me up with joy. Just watching the love amongst us all makes me happy!

As well as...

Playing: With the Family! We spent some time over at my Mom's house last week. We played games all night long and it was super FUn. It got us moving and laughing! It was great having us all together...playing!

My socks rock.
I know.

And the last thing that I will share with you today is...

Some good reads: I've been reading a book called Savor ~ MindFUl Eating, MindFUl Life. So far, it's been quite amazing. It's opened up my mind to different concepts (in life and when it comes to food) and, it has given me greater insight(s) on a number of things that surround me. This book is teaching me a few ways on how to become more mindFUl day to day.

A book of quotes.
Lots of great quotes to making you think in here :)

All in all...

These are just a few little things over the past week that have brought me lots of happiness, and...

I'm grateFUl for having these things in my life to call my own :)

What are some of the little things in your life?

  8. Perfect timing for me - with starting my new job last week, today is the first day my kids have school and I have work, so I'm trying to keep their transition and needs in mind - I know tonight I'll be very happy to see them. Last night we roasted marshmallows and enjoyed the last night of vacation.

  11. Love this. <3 I may have to do this every Monday with you, Kierston! Right now, the little things are being able to breathe through both of my nostrils (haha, been sick for way too long), starting a new nutrition course, and cuddle time every morning with a just-waking-up little Maddie (my 3yo).

    1. Yes, join in! Breathing is one of the most simple things we do yet, don't take enough time to truly appreciate the breathe we have to take!

I finished my nutrition course in July...it was awesome! :)

      Cuddles, I love cuddles!

      Have a great Monday!
