Little Things Monday #5: The Gratitude Jar!

Good morning everyone and...

Happy Little Things Monday to ya!

Yep...
It's already Monday!

As I sit here and reflect upon the little things I've been blessed with...

I can't help but be grateFUl for all the things I have to cherish! (Tangible and intangible!)

In following with my Monday tradition...

Today is the day I get to share with you all the little things in my life that make it special and whole!

All I can say is...

By taking the time to reflect upon the things I have...

I have come to appreciate, be thankFUl and show gratitude towards all of these things!

Having said that...

Here's a little glimpse into those little things that make me happy and overall...

GrateFUl :)

***

SuperFit: I am grateFUl for the laughs we share with one another and all the things we get to do and experience together!

We went to the Motorcycle Show this weekend.
I've never been so excited over motorcycles before ;)
Sushi date night :)
I love me my sushi!
If only you saw all of the other picture we took before this one.
We laughed a long time :)

Exercising: I am grateFUl for being able to exercise and how great it makes me feel both inside and out!

Nothing beats a good workout....
FUFACE ;)

Family Time: I value and cherish the time I get to spend with my family.

Enjoying these little cupcakes from the Flour Shoppe as a family :)
SuperFit's face is priceless lol
Vanilla, Carrot, Chocolate/Raspberry

And...

Dinner with the girls: I am grateFUl for the great conversation and catch-ups I had with great friends over sushi!

All in all...

Individually or combined...

All of these little things are truly the bigger and most meaningFUl things in life!

Now...

To FUrther this notion of grateFUlness...

I have started a gratitude jar at home and with my family! (This was an incredible idea that presented itself at just the right time)

This commitment of showing gratitude towards the life we have (and all the things within it) is something I believe is important to do! (Regularly!)

By writing on a piece of paper, every single day, one thing (or more) we have to be grateFUl for...

This I know (at least I hope) will fill everyone up with a sense of gratitude and appreciation towards some of the most simplistic things we have before us!

As we are often driven by wants and needs....

The gratitude jar will focus our attention towards being grateFUl for the little things we may sometimes take for granted! (It's important to take moments out of our day and simply share what you have to be grateFUl for...it's a great feeling and it's one that I highly encourage you to try! There's lots to be learned from it and, if anything, it makes life itself shine a little brighter knowing you have plenty to be thankFUl for!)

Having said all of this...

Have a great day friends!

  2. The jar is a great idea. I'm toying with a jar for nice things that happen - at the end of the year you can look through them again.

  5. A jar is such an adorable and wonderful idea that I LOVE. It's easy to forget to be thankful, but a post it note is NOT a hard commitment. This is beautiful, and so are you. :)

  17. love this idea! I haven't made one, but I do write down 3 things daily that are GOOD, or that I'm grateful for. I've also dabbled in journaling, which can help put things in perspective and make me appreciate the good in life.

  20. I've used a gratitude jar in the past and it's amazing how mindful it keeps you of the little things in life that matter most.

I have the best time with Chad too. I think it's part of how we've made almost 20 years of marriage a success :)
