I Can't Wait...

Good morning everyone and...

Happy Wednesday to you :)

It's -40 here right now.
I'm frozen lol

As some of you may know...

I'm currently away from the home front. (I've been here since Sunday night)

While here...

I gotta tell you...

It's been a touch stressFUl on a few fronts so...

I've been doing my best at keeping it together!

That being said...

I've been good at keeping to my healthy eats and my training! (I decided to take Tuesday and today off from working out since I've come down with another cold while here! So, I'm giving my body a break and I'm giving it time to recharge!)

I'm always happy when I see dumbbells.
I did Chest and Triceps on Monday.

Although you better believe...

I can't wait to get back to Florida Fitness Aylmer (my gym) and train! (Once I'm feeling better, of course!)

Now in keeping on the topic of eating...

It is Wednesday so...

I'll have you know that...

I did bring a few things with me on top of...

Going to the local grocers to ensure I had everything I needed and wanted (which is all part staying on track while on the road)...

Berries, Asian Pear,  Allegro Cheese, Oikos Greek Yogurt and Quaker Oats.

But don't get me wrong...

A big part of me can't wait to get back home and into my kitchen!

I have been eating well so...

I'm happy :)

Oikos Greek Yogurt and Berries in a mug :)
Morning protein packed oats.
If you're travelling, ask for a microwave in your room!

Hotel Room Chocolate Protein Berry (or Banana) Oats
by *CaNdY FiT*

  • 1/2 Cup Quaker Oats
  • 3/4 to 1 Cup Water (depends on how thick you like your oatmeal)
  • 1 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder (I use High Whey Revolution)
  • 1/2 cup mixed Berries (or half a banana)
  1. In a bowl, add your oatmeal and 3/4 cup water.
  2. Mix together
  3. Place your bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes
  4. Remove from the microwave, stir and add a bit more water to your desired consistency
  5. Add your protein powder, stir until evenly combined.
  6. Add your berries to top and...
  7. Enjoy!

  • If you use a banana, split in half and microwave it for 45secs. Smoosh it. Follow the other steps from there.
  • You would be fine with boiling water with a kettle and adding it to your oatmeal but, it's not the same. Trust me.

  5. That is exactly how I eat my hotel oats. It's not too terroble to eat clean on the road as long as you bring a few supplements and "Plan B" snacks. You're proof of that!

  6. It can be hard and sometimes stressful traveling, trying to maintain your workouts and healthy eating habits. I've learned to perfect my hotel room oats too ;-)

  9. I love fresh fruit in my yogurt. Thanks for the quick hotel oats recipe. I hate having to scrounge around most hotel's "continental breakfast" to find something healthy. It's usually sugary pastries and waffles. Not too much longer before you get home! :)

  12. Yea for healthy eating while travelling! I travel for work & it was a learning curve to figure out how to keep with my routine while doing it. I'm looking forward to meeting a girlfriend after work for a workout! Happy Wednesday!
