No Regrets Holiday!

 Good morning everyone and...

Happy Thursday!

I can't believe I'm already two weeks into my vacation! (Time sure flies by when you're having FUn with family and friends!)

I should note that...

Over the past couple of days...

I've come down with a terrible cold! (Seems like everyone is sick right now so I'm not surprised I caught was only a matter of time! Gah!)

Ah well...

I'm resting and taking care of myself so I hope it goes away sooner rather than later! (Given our weekend plans and all!)

As mentioned yesterday...

It was Boxing Day! (Which is similar to Black Friday!)

I bundled up and both SuperFit and I ventured out to the mall!

Ready for the cold temperatures!

We weren't looking for anything specific but...

We thought we might be able to put a couple of gift cards to use!

That being said...

The mall was packed and the hour long line-ups just weren't worth the 'deals'!

Don't worry...

I did get one thing and that is...

A pair of Icebreaker glove liners from a shop just next door to the mall! (They were on sale and there wasn't a line up! Winnnnnnnnnn!)

Made with Merino Wool to keep
my hands and fingers nice and toasty!

In keeping up with the holidays and everything else....

I've been mindFUl to eat well and make good choices (while enjoying a little bit more at the same time)...

Chicken salad

While also...

Keeping to my exercise routine too! (I added a bit of cardio to my program knowing I'd be eating a little more than usual!)

Sunday morning spinning.
Weight training 5x a week!
(which is my normal program)

To me...

It's important to keep to my lifestyle and...

Not to let the holidays be an excuse to get myself out of it! (In the end, the lifestyle I lead is not a sometimes's a commitment I made to myself and to my health and...I love it!)

No excuses here!

That being said...

The holidays is a time to enjoy! (And to enjoy everything that is meant to be enjoyed!)

And trust me...

I don't regret anything I've stuffed into my belly! (And very seldom do I ever!)

This blog isn't called *CaNdY FiT* for nothing lol
I really like nuts and everything else on this island.
My mom's stuffing rocks!
I actually skipped on this because I was FUll but...
It did look great!

Leading a healthy and active lifestyle is not about restrictions and guilt...

It's about finding your balance!

A balance that work for you and...

Only you! (We all have different bodies and metabolisms so, it's important that you get to know yourself...inside and out! Plus, in order to make lifestyle changes work for you, you must make it so that it's something that is manageable and doable by you!)

Having said all of this...

Until now and New Year's...

I'm going to continue enjoying (my family, my friends, my vacation, my eats) and...

Once the holiday season has passed...

It'll be a matter of going back to my regular programming! (With respect to my meals which, won't be too hard because there won't be as many events and dinner parties to attend once things slow down again!)

Life is meant to be enjoyed and...

That's exactly what I be doing!

#FUFACE and all!

Once last thing before I go...

Tomorrow is #RECIPEFRIDAY on the blog so...

I have a new recipe to share with you all!

This week...

I baked something out of the ordinary (for me) and...

I can't wait for you to get your eyes (and maybe hands and mouth) on it too! (It's something I came across over the holidays and just had to make myself because it was so sweet!)

Now (this is where you come in!)...

If you have a recipe you'd like to share...

Feel free to share and link up!

Have a great day!

Questions FU You...

Do you find it difficult to get back into your routine once the holiday season has passed?
Have you been enjoying your holidays?

Stay Tuned FU More On *CaNdY FiT*

  1. I have definitely been indulging on sweet treats and lots of good eats, but have still been sticking to working out. I have given myself one extra rest day the past week or two though. The hip needs it before training starts in Jan for another half goal :) I am such a cardio queen. I need to add more weight lifting. I'm sure your Taekwando classes can be classified as cardio miss!!

    1. Same...sticking to my regular routine with some added eating ;)

TKD school is closed until January...I can't wait to go back!

      Me...I love cardio too :)

      Happy holidays!

  2. Glad you have been having a great time! The holidays have been wonderful for me this year! :)

  3. Hoping you feel better girl! Man, I can't imagine cold like you guys have up there!

  4. We are in the same wave-length today girlie! Changes should be about love and health, not deprivation and guilt! Beauty shines from within, so it is all about living yourself and being happy :)

  5. Love your attitude and I completely agree! Looks like you've been having fun, enjoy all that cold weather ;)

  6. Boo! We all got sick here too. Not fun.

The food on the other hand....yuuuuuummmmmmy!!

  7. yikes you're brave for going to the mall yesterday! i heard itz the busiest shopping day of the year!! 2 weeks til vacay?! NICE!

  8. Love this! Yes, the holidays are about enjoying and we need to find our own balance. Sounds like you are having a great holiday, minus the cold. I've come down with something too. Let's rest and enjoy! Feel better.

  9. hahaha I love the bundled-up look. And I will def be trying those berry bites!

  10. Happy times! Looks like you have had a great holiday season so far!

  11. K, I have been soooo enjoying my holidays! I'm only teaching/training about 4 hours this week and next and have been sleeping in until 8:30 in the morning!

Guess I needed a break from the routine!

Lots of little food indulgences, but nothing over the top. No guilt at all and looking forward to getting back to the gym tomorrow!

  12. I had my fun and enjoyed every bit. I woke up yesterday morning ready to be back to my usual self. I had enough.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  13. Overdid it with the treats this holiday, but working hard to get back on track! Sugar is my kryptonite, so I always have to be on my guard ; )

  14. Sorry about your cold hope you are feeling better! All those food pics are making me hungry!

  15. I've definitely enjoyed myself WAY more than usual this holiday and it's been great! lol! I don't feel bad about it at all because I know I will be right back into the swing of things when I get home. My parents live 1 million miles from a gym and although I've been doing cardio (they have a treadmill) I am itching to get back to lifting those weights! Looks like you had a wonderful holiday. Hope you feel better!

  16. I love your approach to the holidays. Balance is the attitude to have! Christmas used to stress me out, and now I just eat what I want, knowing that I'll get back to normal soon afterwards. Happy holidays!

  17. Hope you chase away that cold!!!!

You live it right! I am with you & have been living that philosophy for years on finding what works right for you & nobody but you. I do a crazy workout but it works for me. :)

I never really went off my program during the holidays although I did plan in some treats... not too hard for me to get back since I am there.. to each their own & all is good! :)

  18. Sorry you aren't feeling well! I have been fighting a cold. I made it back to the gym today, but I felt kind of nauseous. I like the look of those berry bites...and of course the candy! :)

  19. So glad you enjoyed your Christmas, you definitely earned every yummy morsel!!

  20. I definitely enJOYed the holidays but I'm feeling it so it's time to return to my usual routine.
