WIAW: Post-Competition Celebration Eats!

Morning everyone and Happy Wednesday...

I hope this day is starting off well for ya!

Before I share my celebratory eats on this fabulous What I Ate Wednesday...

I want to thank everyone for all the congratulatory messages you've been sending my way! (I feel so blessed!)

I mean...

I'm still in shock (an incredible shock mind you! lol) over what transpired at the OPA Ottawa Championships and over the course of the past three weeks!!!


Everything just feels so surreal! (It really does!)


In keeping with #WIAW tradition (thanks to Jenn over at Peas and Crayons)...

Today I will share with you some of my celebration eats that followed my last competition of the season!

And trust me my friends...

It's a tasty one!

The morning after the show...

I helped myself to the last of Lindsay's Healthy Bites!

I couldn't wait to pop these into my mouth!
They are so tasty!

As I wasn't super duper hungry for something big when I woke up...

The bites were the perfect thing to munch on while I sipped on a Cappuccino SuperFit made specially for me!

He makes them so good!

Come lunch time...

My appetite was in FUll throttle so...

I made plans to have sushi with my Dad, The Masta!

My trophies joined us for lunch.
(It's tradition)

Soon after...

SuperFit and I headed over to Costco to FUel up on some goods for the fridge!

I got...

Egg Whites (I'm totally not sick of them)
Salmon, Chicken, Oats, Greens and...

A new Sherpa blanket!
(Okay, it's not for the fridge but I couldn't resist it!)
You won't believe how soft it is!

Once we got home...

We chilled for a while (I think I took a nap lol) until we decided the evening called for pizza....

A terrible movie (lol)...

And of course...

A #FUBOWL! (I hadn't had one of these in ages!!! lol)

Nookie got me my very own *CaNdY* #FUBOWL!!!

Let's just say...

My day weekend ended on a sweet note!


My plan is to rest, recover (from a terrible cold I've had since Monday!) and enjoy a few special dinners I've got planned this week, but most importantly...

Be mindFUl of how I feed my body and mind! (Just because I'm not in prep mode doesn't mean I can go wild and crazy and forget how to treat my body right! It's all about balance and moderation, on all fronts!)

I mean....

I'm still having my Mini Oatmeal Protein Bites every morning (Mmmm MMmmm!)...


I can't wait to get back to the gym! (But I do need to give my body the break it deserves for the next few days!)

Until then...

Here's the recipe for my Mini Oatmeal Protein Bites!

  1. Egg Whites
  2. 1/2 Cup Oatmeal
  3. 2 T Ground Flax Seeds
  4. 1 T Cinnamon
  5. 1 or 2 Packets of Vanilla Stevia (I like to sprinkle it on top once cooked)
  6. 1/2 tsp Baking Powder (optional)
Optional Ingredients:

Greek Yogurt (to keep them moist)
Fruit of your choice (mashed banana, berries and/or cranberries)
Pumpkin spice or purée (for all those loving Pumpkin this Fall Season)
Veggies (I have the recipe for you here!)
Chocolate Chips (if you have a sweet tooth)
Protein Powder (of your choice)
Peanut Butter (or PB2) to top! <---- DRoooooool!


  • Lightly spray, with olive oil, your mini oven safe muffin pan.
  • Set your oven on to bake at 375F.
  • Mix ingredients together in a bowl.
  • Spoon out the mixture into each mini muffin space.
  • Place your tray in the oven for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and...
