Fitness Competition WIAW: A Touch of Sweetness

Can you believe...

This will be the last Fitness Competition What I Ate Wednesday until I hit the stage?!!

I mean...

I'm competing this coming Saturday!

It's true!

Honestly...

I cannot believe how fast time has gone by now that...

I'm just days away from the SAF and Physique Canada Stage!


Don't you think it's...

My eyes only looked and my mouth did not taste these beautiful delights!
 Isobel's Cupcakes and Cookies!
I halved each of them and made mix and match cupcakes.
This one here is a Hot Chocolate and Double Chocolate cupcake!
Sweet looking isn't it?!
Literally ;)

Alright so...

Onto the eats I've been having (and making) over the past few days! (Thanks Jenn for this super FUn way to highlight some of my meals!)

But wait...

Before I get started...

I should note that this week (since this past Monday) my diet has seen some changes as we are so quickly approaching the day of the competition!

**Everything is stricter than ever (it sure is!!!) but, that's the name of the game....especially this last week I have going on here!**

With respect to my carbs...

We've been careFUllly loading so as to keep everything (my body) the way we want it to look come time for the show! (It's truly a science and I leave it to the very capable and amazing hands of SuperFit!) 

Hey...

I'm just happy I still get to enjoy these babies in the morning!

Mini Protein Bites
(minus the baking powder and Stevia)

Over the past week (not necessarily this week)...

Here are some of the things I've enjoyed putting into my mouth...

Chicken, Spinach and Mrs. Dash Garlic Herb Seasoning.
Haddock and Spinach
(with the same seasoning)
 Burnbrae Farms Egg Whites!
Mmmmm...Haddock!

And as for SuperFit...

He's been enjoying my Char Crust Chicken and Nutty Rice! (As of late!)


~Recipe~

Ingredients for Chicken:

2 T of Char Crust Seasoning of your choice
Olive Oil

Instructions:

  1. Lightly coat your Chicken with Olive Oil
  2. Rub (on all sides) your Char Crust seasoning
  3. Over medium-low heat, in a lightly Olive Oil sprayed pan, place your chicken and cook (both sides until done)

Enjoy!

Ingredients for Rice:

  1. Rice (of your choice)
  2. Your favourite nuts and dried berries (I like to add raisins or cranberries)

Instructions:

Once your rice is done, throw in your nutty/fruity blend into your pot and mix together until even spread out.

**Note: Sometimes I will cook my nuts and dried fruit in a fry pan then throw in my cooked rice and mix together. Both ways are good (well, SuperFit says so lol)**

Here I have Pumpkin Seeds and dried Cherries/Cranberries

Oh and just before I go...

I thought I'd share with you some of things...

I think we faired out pretty well :)

My plan is to make a big little goody bag to bring with me at the competition come time to sugar load! (That's right...sugar load to make my muscles pop (looked pumped) right before I step on stage! Don't worry, it will be measured accordingly lol)

And quite honestly...

I can't wait to have a taste of something sweet! (Yeeeee!!!)

I bought some sweet and salty :)
I got a little bag of *CaNdY*, Sweet and Spicy Trail Mix and Coconut covered Dates.
I got caramel squares for SuperFit!

Oh my sweetness...

3 more sleeps left my friends!!!!

    1. There is a whole lot of rice cakes and nut butters backstage...Definitely! But, there's also lots of sugar too ;)

  9. I've never been a big candy fan - the sweet I crave are cakes a cookies. Which I will have in 17 days immediately following my competition. :)

  24. I love how you have made your training diet look so delicious! I really find the science of dieting for competition so interesting. It is so complex!

    I just want to say good luck in your competitions this weekend. You've done the work, now you will reap the rewards. I can't wait to read all about it.
