8 More Sleeps to the SAF and Physique Canada Stage!

Can you believe it?!

There are only 8 more sleeps until I hit the SAF and Physique Canada stage!!!

Yep Yep!

Without a doubt...

I am beyond excited and I can't wait to share this experience with all the FFA Girls and other Competitors I have yet to meet!

Alright, time for me to fill you in....

When it comes to the past week in my competition prep....

My workouts have been great and consistent...

My diet has seen a few changes here and there!

If you're wondering about the changes...

It's all in relation to my carb loading!

Not that kind!

Seriously though...

I've been having to reintroduce carbs more often than not so as to maintain the look we want to present!

Hello Mini Protein Bites!

I have to say...

This change has been a bit odd for me because for months my goal has been to lean out and now...

We've shifted things into a different gear! (Working on maintaining as opposed to losing! And to be quite honest, I didn't think I'd reach this phase in my prep since my body has progressed very slowly! But, for that reason alone, I'm so grateFUl for what I've accomplished and, I can definitely appreciate my progress so much more knowing how much work it took to get to where I am today!)

Who's also been prepping 12 other Competitors at the same time! (And not one of us is following the same program!)

In terms of my posing...

I've been practising pretty well every day! (If just for 10 minutes at a time! I want to be sure I know my routine and that I get my posing down to a T without hesitation!)

We are officially friends.


Did I tell you I picked up my bikini from Day Dreams Fitness Wear?

I sure did! (And I'm FUreakin' in love with it!)

In other important news...

It was my sister Kiki's 13th birthday yesterday, meaning...

She's officially a teenager! (Where has time gone?!)

So, I surprised her with a little...

Shopping Scavenger Hunt I made for her and friends as they get together for her party tomorrow! (I gave it to her at Thanksgiving dinner!)

She was really happy with it!

And much like me...

Her birthday lasts about a week, so...

She'll be enjoying lots of festivities over the next few days!

  1. Aww...wish I had a little sis. You two look like you're having a blast! Anyway, my favorite thing about the week is happening today. I'm heading home to spend time with my mom. We have our annual "girls only" shopping trip tomorrow! :)

  3. 8 sleeps! Awesome - and congrats on getting to the body level you wanted. Carbs must feel good :-). My diet right now looks like the top photo - I really struggle with carbs, an I'm fitting them in ANY way I can - tomorrow I'm on powerade, candy, more candy and rice. Lol! Maybe you can teach me some carb free tips for next week. I am SO over carbs.

    I find maintaining difficult because I obsess and worry about whether I've lost or gained - moving toward a goal seems a little easier.

    You must be so excited! I'm excited for you :-)

  6. Only 8?! Time is FLYING! You look fabulous and I cannot WAIT to see you all suited up.

    I struggle to keep weight on. Since cutting salt for 3 days I've lost 2 lbs! So frustrating.

    1. Time is truly flying by! I can't believe it!

      It's amazing was salt does isn't? It can change a whole lot in very little time!

    1. Definitely an adjustment because I didn't think I'd have to carb load as much during this period of my prep! I'm not complaining :)

  16. Kierston, you just amaze me with how wonderful your attitude is now & thru this whole thing! I was a living bit*h during the last part of dieting!!! ;) L love how there is still all this time for sis & everyone else - you are amazing!

    Me - dieting is the worst for me cause I have a bod that puts on weight by looking at food & loses it VERY VERY SLOWWWW And now with age, craziness! BUT maintaining is really the hard part for me to & many. I have maintaining down - meaning how to do it BUT it is the woman hormones that fight me! ;)

      My metabolism takes forever to kick in as it adjusts very quickly to whatever we throw at it. We constantly have to keep it guessing. It's like a game almost lol

  17. Your little sister is adorable making the FU face!! Your heels are rather scary (cute, but scary) - I would totally break my neck trying to do anything other then walk in them! Good luck getting everything ready over the next week!
