WIAW: FUelling UP!

Since today is Wednesday...

Can you guess what's on the blog menu this fine morning?

Yes, it's time for another...

What I Ate Wednesday thanks to Jenn over at Peas and Crayons!

A little background on this particular WIAW...

This month's theme is all about FALLing into good habits! Whether you want to eat more greens, incorporate or start using fresh ingredients into your cooking, learn to better FUel yourself (be it for healthy living, performance and/or any other goal you have given yourself), the FALL season is the perfect time to get your engine running, FUel up with wholesome foods and be witness of how nicely things will FALL into place once you get into the habit of introducing all the good things you want to put into practice! (Practising good habits always leaves you feeling real good!)

So...

Enough with the words, let's get to the food!

But just before that (haha, and you thought I was done!)...

I should remind you that I am now less than 2 weeks away from running my very first half-marathon and less than 6 weeks away from hitting the fitness competition stage! (I'll be updating you with my training later on in the week!)

Okay, so now (for real)...

Here's a glimpse into a few things I've been having over the past seven days:

Egg Whites and Flax!

This bowl was very satisfying!
#lovemyburnbraefarmseggwhites

To make the Flax Fluff-like Topping:

Microwave 2 T of Ground Flax Seeds with a splash of water and egg whites for 40 secs. It comes out nice and fluffy.

If you are looking for flavour, add:

1 packet of Vanilla Stevia
Cinnamon; and
Pepper to taste

Green Eggs and Flax!

Blend:

8 Burnbrae Farms Egg Whites
1 big handFUl of Spinach
1 T Ground Flax

Cook over medium-high heat and scramble (or make an omelette out of it)! (You can also add different veggies if you so choose!)

Mmmm Mmmm.

Having shared this recipe...

Have you ever checked out my ultra low-carb fajita wraps?

I enjoyed these a great amount during my last competition prep! (As seen in photos below! lol)

Now, with all of this food...

Let's not forget about coffee, yes, lots and lots of coffee! (I talk a big talk but I have a maximum of 3 coffees a day lol)

And...

My neighbours' Garden Cucumbers!

So crunchy, so delish!

Who said you need to slice them ;)

I've also been loving my....

BBQ Chicken and Spinach!

Plain Chicken on the BBQ over a bed of spinach, sprinkled with 1tsp of Flax.

To wrap things up...

If you missed my last post, then you missed the recipe for these little oven baked goods!

Cheesy Egg Mmm Muffin Tops!

With Oatmeal.
Without Oatmeal.

I also have the...

Two lucky winners to announce from my Avena Only Oats Giveaway!

Drum roll please...

Please email me your mailing address at candyfitfu@gmail.com and I'll be sure to send you the goods!

Congrats!

Lastly...

A WIAW isn't a WIAWwithout showing what Teddy ate!

Well, in this case...

Lick to bits!

I WOOF you SuperFit!
