Eat. SWEAT. Play.

To begin the Easter long weekend Festivities...

I got up early Saturday morning to attend yet another Bikram Yoga Class!

Wakee. Wakeeeee.
I'm awake.

Because I rolled out of bed so early (6am to be exact!)...

I was able to squeeze in my Oatmeal Protein Pancakes! (You're not supposed to eat 2 hours prior to the class!)

  1. 1/2 cup Oatmeal;
  2. 8 Egg Whites;
  3. 2 T Ground Flax Seeds;
  4. 4 Packets of Vanilla Stevia; and
  5. 1 tsp. Cinnamon.

  • 2/3 cup Berries of choice; or
  • 1/2 to 1 FUll Banana.

  • Pour mixture into a heated fry pan (medium/low heat);
  • Make your pancakes as small or as big as you like; and
  • Flip both sides until cooked.

In between pouring and flipping...

I sipped on my coffee while I read my latest issue of Oxygen Magazine!

Both were good ;)

Of course...

Teddy enjoyed his morning eats while I got myself and my noms ready! ;)

Yes. My slippers are obviously his favorite toy!

When it came time to leave...

I made my way to Rama Lotus Yoga Centre and relaxed a little bit before the class began! (I always get there early so as to FIT in some extra relaxation time!)

So early, that I'm the first one to arrive lol

After one sweaty sweat session...

I was happy that I was able to improve on a number of poses!

The Toe Stand to be more specific...

Padangustasana - Toe Stand

On my way home...

I made sure to down a litre of water!

So important to replenish after sweating gallons!

And if that wasn't enough replenishing...

I made myself a Protein Shake as soon as I walked through the door!

  1. 1 1/2 Scoops Chocolate Protein Powder;
  2. 10 oz Water; and
  3. 5 Ice Cubes.

While I washed up and got ready to pick up my little Sister Kiki (for a sleepover!)...

SuperFit went out riding for a couple of hours!

I love cycling gear.
He makes my heart go BOOM.

I also took this time to...

I run some very important errands!

Like picking up my amazing cupcakes from Three Bakers and A Bike!

I got them for Sunday's Easter Dinner.

They are the most incredible cupcakes I've had to date! (And, I've had my fair share! lol)

I made sure to buy Kiki...

A mini one to enjoy! (As we wouldn't be attending the same dinner the day following!)

She gave me a little bite to taste :)

Before making our way back...

We strolled and shopped around Wellington Village!

I ended up buying a bracelet, which is meant to provide overall balance (I do my best every day to apply balance in everything I do!) and I got Kiki a stone to add to her collection!

I also ended up buying us dinner at...

Parma Ravioli
I've never once been there before!
I was excited to try it out!

I got Kiki some fresh Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli with Rosée sauce, while...

I got SuperFit and myself Spaghetti and Meatballs!

Once everything was said and done...

I gave Kiki a very important task!

We didn't want these babies to get damaged ;)
Safe and sound.
Kiki did a fine job! :)

Before starting dinner and our movie...

We took the dogs out to play in the park!

Teddy made a new friend!

And as you will notice (in the pics to follow)...

There was a whole lotta love going on during their play time!

In all the FUn, ball throwing and lovin'...

Yogi wasn't interested in the ball one bit!

He much preferred going through SuperFit's legs instead lol.

Either way...

The puppies enjoyed being outside and running in the open field!

While of course...

Sneaking in a hug or two!

Once we called it a day...

We made sure to get our goodies ready for our Easter Egg Hunt! (Yep. We hunted for chocolateeeee eggs!)

Of course...
The Big Bunny being the Grand Prize!

Let's just say...

We were all looking forward to it! (Well, Kiki and I were lol)

Question FU you...

1. If you do any form of Yoga, do you practice your poses at home?

Stay Tuned FU More On *CaNdY FiT*

My girl is reading along and said: they're dog walkers and yoga people right mama?

she and I are off to be yoga people...

  2. Teddy is a big adorable fluff ball... I can see through the photos he is a lover. Looks like you had a wonderful weekend.. xoxo

  3. What a happy group! Looks like you had quite a fabulous Easter. And in response to your question, when I used to go to Bikram 3 times a week (I lived in CA back then and now in NC, there's not a studio within 50 miles), I did practice at home because I'm the least flexible person I know and I was tired of being embarrassed:)

  4. Loove all of this! Looks like a fab weekend. Made me crave cupcakes and anything spinach-ricotta. I've never tried Bikram although I really want to! I don't belong to a yoga studio; I just go to the classes at my gym. I don't really practice the poses at home, but I'll occasionally use some yoga-based stretches when I need to stretch out (my favorite = pigeon!)

  5. Oh what a cute pup!! Sounds like you guys had a great time. Love getting to spend time outside like that too.

  6. OMG I love your posts!!!!
    and teddy's adorable

  7. Fun day and cute pics! I get distracted so easily, I almost never do yoga at home. nowhere near as relaxing!

  8. looks like a great time Kierston! and a great sunny weekend, too! I want to get back to putting yoga in my days. there happens to be a class tomorrow, I may try. I really want to try that hot yoga class. sounds exciting.

    those cupcakes look yum!

  9. SO MUCH FUN!! You live it for sure! What a wonderful family & of course Teddy is soooooooooooo cute!!!

  10. This looks like such a great weekend!!!! You are too cute =) I wish I had as voluminous hair as you!!!

  11. good job on toe stand! i did bikram on easter sunday for the first time in a couple of YEARS and toe stand was so hard for me because my foot kept falling off my sweaty leg!!
i actually ate 45 min before the class, but just a banana w/some PB. i woke up really hungry and knew i wouldn't make it through with at least a little fuel!
glad you got in so much good family time :) and i love your little pancakes, so cuteeee
