Oatmeal Protein PB2 Cookies (or balls)!

Here I go again:

Baking up a storm...

One Batch.
Two Batch.

Making a mess!

After having purchased my PB2...

It didn't take long to get the bright idea to make Protein Peanut Butter Cookies! (Actually, it took less than 24 hrs!)

As usual...

I got out my necessary ingredients to make it all happen! (I adapted the recipe from my Oatmeal Carob Chip Cookies)

**FUll recipe and instructions will be shared at the end of this post**

I didn't end up using the Almond Breeze or Apple Sauce.
I actually don't know why I even took out the Almond Breeze lol

To keep things simple...

I added all the dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl...

Oatmeal and Chocolate PB2.
Original PB2.
Chocolate Protein Powder.

Followed by...

The wet stuff!

Once all the ingredients were found mingling together...

I mixed them up!

It smelled so yum.

I then...

Spooned the mixture onto a non-stick cookie sheet and placed it in the oven to bake at 325F for about 20-25 minutes!

While patiently waiting to test out one of my cookies...

I tried (key word being 'tried') taking pictures of Teddy Bear! (And giving Zippy Bears a little break from my little monster!)

This is what ended up transpiring:

After one hectic photoshoot...

My cookies were finally ready!

Mmmm. Mmmmm. Good.

Let me just say...

It was worth all the energy that went into taking pictures of  my FUr ball!

As promised...

Here's the recipe:

FU's Oatmeal Protein PB2 Cookies (or balls!)!

  • 2 cups Oatmeal;
  • 2 scoops of Revolution Whey Chocolate Protein Powder (brand of your choice);
  • 1/2 cup of  Egg Whites;
  • 2/3 cup Natural 0% Greek Yogurt;
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate PB2;
  • 1/2 cup Original PB2;
  • 4 packets of Vanilla Stevia:
  • 3 tbsp. Sunflower Oil; and
  • 1 tbsp. of Baking Powder.

  1. Add dry then wet ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix together until combined.
  3. Roll into small balls and place on a non-stick baking sheet.
  4. Flatten (optional) and bake for about 17-20 minutes at 325F, or until browned.
  5. Once ready, remove from oven and place on a cooling rack to cool (I think that goes without saying lol).

Recipe yields about 24 cookies.

PB2: The Next Generation...

I ordered something amazing.

Over the past few months...

I've been seeing this certain product float around all over the internet (especially amongst healthy food bloggers), so...

I decided it was time to try some out myself! (And I'm super happy I did!)

To be quite honest...

I very seldom order things online!

Although this week...

I broke my personal record since I bought...

Not 1 but 4 things! (O.M.G. I know right?! lol)

I ended up purchasing:

  • 3 jars of this product; and
  • A Goldendoodle Book! (Yes, you read right! I'm going to learn all about Teddy's Breed!)

How could I resist?!

So what exactly did I order that is so yum?

Are you ready?!

Two types of healthy-fiedultra low in calorie and low in fat all natural Peanut Butter! (Yuppers!)

I think it goes without saying...

I couldn't wait to give it a try!!!

I mean...

It could have the potential of  replacing some of my old friends! (Well, not completely replace...we do have a long-standing relationship! lol)

Either way...

I was happy two days was all it took for my shipment to arrive! (PB via mail is some serious business!)

It's like a gift box only unwrapped.

Once I got to the opening of the box...

I took my time so as not to damage the goods!

Oooohhhh. Aaaahhhh.

I also took another glance at the nutritional info...

I realize you can't read the small print ;)

The calories, fat, and sugars weren't comparable to my regular 'peanut spread'!

Next (and obviously)...

I tested it out!

My test PB bowl.

I took a good sniff before scooping out two tablespoons worth (one serving)...

It smelled super Peanuty!
(Duh...It's made with peanuts lol)

And then...

I added 1 tablespoon of water to the peanut powder! (Or to your desired thickness)

What I got was...

A thick and creamy-like Peanut Butter spread! (Magic right before my eyes!)

I ate half of it before taking the picture!
Did I mention there was 1 gram of fat per serving?!

Don't feel like you got a good enough look at this yummy peanut spread?! (I don't blame you!)

Here are some better shots of the mixed PB2 goodness (I didn't touch it prior to photographing it lol)...

My overall opinion/analysis:

So I think it goes without saying....

I really enjoyed PB2!

Let's just say...

I can't wait to try spreading and mixing  PB2 on and in these favourite eats of mine (not all in the same day of course! Everything in moderation!) :

  • Protein Pancakes (done and really yum!);
Berry Protein Pancakes with PB2 Spread.
PB2 Greek Yogurt Bowl.
So good.
I added 1 pack of Vanilla Stevia for added sweetness.
Obviously I mixed it all together and
didn't leave it powdery as seen above ;)

**What's also good is if you mix together the PB2 spread in the Greek Yogurt Bowl as opposed to simply adding the powder. Both ways are really yum!**

I will also attempt to make:

  • Peanut Chicken;
  • Peanut Sauce for dipping; and (not limited to)
  • Protein Peanut Butter Cookies! (Actually, I already did that too lol)

Recipe coming soon! :)

So if you're finding yourself wiping your mouth clean of drool or if you're a PB Lover (like me!)...

I suggest you give it a try! (You may enjoy it too!)

Questions FU you...

1. Have you tried PB2?
2. What do you think?

**Disclaimer: I was not compensated for this post nor was I asked to write a product review. I simply found the PB2 online, ordered it and decided to share it with you after giving it a taste! It's something I just had to share! I mean, WE ARE talking about Peanut Butter here! These thoughts are mine and mine alone.**

Baking Like a FU: Banana Chocolate Protein Loaves!

First off...

These Protein Loaf recipes took me a while to master!

I've been holding off on sharing it simply because I wanted to get it right before giving it to you! (This was my first baking attempt in the New Year and it would turn out to be my biggest challenge! lol)

I won't mention how many I ended up making ;)

Let's just say...

It took me a number of tries to make it how I pretty well envisioned it to look and taste!

**FYI: Each recipe was good but not good enough lol**

In the end, I ended making two things:

1. Banana Almond Chocolate Protein Loaf!; and a...
2. Banana Carob Chip Protein Loaf!

Once upon a time...

I got out the required ingredients to make my loafs!

**FUll recipe for both batches will be shared at the end of this post! Don't worry, I won't share the flopped ones lol**

This adds so much flavor to a lot of things!
Thanks 007 and Martin 4 the great gift!!!

I then measured everything (to my own approximations lol), and...

Blended (some of) the ingredients together!

Insert blending sound here.

As soon as the blended items had turned into one big mush...

I poured the mixture in the bowl with the dry ingredients!

I mixed it all together...

Poured it all into one non-stick loaf pan!

While I was preparing everything...

I had set the oven on to bake at 375F!

As soon as it was heated...

I placed the mixture in! (And crossed my fingers for good things to happen!)

1/2 way cooked.
My 'cook' tester!
I poked at the Loaf a few times.
Once nothing stuck to it, I knew it was ready!

In between watching the oven window (waiting for something to rise...hopeFUlly!) and...

Playing Angry Birds...(as well as doing the dishes and getting ready to train Shoulder with SuperFit!)

Dish washing is not an addiction.

40 minutes had passed and...

I had something to show for it!

It smelled scrumptious!

After a day (or two or three or four) of experimenting with recipes...

These Protein loafs are definitely something I will keep in my yummy recipes roster! (I will continue playing around with these recipes simply because there is so much you can do with it!)
