Part II: NYE Weekend! Celebrating like a FU!

In the 4 hours spent walking around Old Québec during our Weekend Getaway...

SuperFit got a new hat!
I had nothing to do with it ;)

There was lots more to see and do!

After warming up over our Cappuccinos at le Café-boulangerie Paillard...

So good!

We headed to the Quartier Petit Champlain! (One of the most renown parts of Old Québec!)

The streets were filled with locally owned shops, cafés and bistros.
The air was romantic and the atmosphere quaint.

After strolling around a while...

It was time to have lunch! (And warm up! It was getting pretty cold as the air was damp!)

Le Cochon Dingue!
A French Bistro with a European Flair.
Oink Oink!

As we patiently waited FU our table...

SuperFit quickly noticed something I had FUrgotten to do...

Like take the plastic hook off my new hat!
Woopsy!

Once seated and ready to order...

So hungry!
And...
Thirsty!

We couldn't wait to indulge!

I had the Tartine - Smoked Salmon...

Smoked Salmon and Oka Cheese on homemade Country Bread.
Mmmmm!
And...
Their FUmous shoestring FUrench FUries!

While SuperFit had...

The Pork Burger!

Extra-lean Pork cooked on the grill (without the Swiss Cheese)
on a Sesame Seed Bun.
He dug in the moment the plate landed in FUront of him lol
I ate my Tartine but left some FUries behind.

Once we were FUnished eating, we walked some more until...

I spotted an all-time FUvorite Canadian treat of mine!

Maple Taffy on Snow!

O.M.G.
My mouth was watering!

Let's just say...

It was a quick sell!

I'm like a kid when it comes to sweets!
Can you believe SuperFit has never beFUre tried Maple Taffy?!
I gave him a couple of tastes!
Yes, a couple.

We continued touring around a little while longer...

Until my feet could bare no more! (They were wet!)

But all in good timing because (although the wet feet thing wasn't good!)...

We had dinner reservations coming up at...

La Bête

A FU hours later...

We arrived at the steakhouse and we were quickly seated!

They started us off with in-house Beef Jerkey!

Seasoned to perFUction!

As we looked through the menu...

We both decided on La table d'hôte!

I'm not typically a Steak Girl but...
I wanted some Iron FU NYE!

I went with the Boston Cut! (A cut neither SuperFit or I had ever heard of! SuperFit had the New York!)

**I didn't take too many FUtos during our meal as I didn't want to disrupt the other patrons with my flash! The restaurant was dimly lit**

It was succulent!

FU dessert...

We had the Crême Blée!

SuperFit's FUvorite desserts since the Xmas party we attended!
It was yummy!

After our scrumptious meal...

We went back to the hotel, changed (again!) and headed outside FU the New Year's Eve Party!

**I should note we wrapped my feet in plastic bags and double socked them! My boots were still soaked from earlier in the day! I braved the cold feet FU the party!**

This was just outside our hotel!
Literally, two steps from the exit!

There was a DJ and loads of dancing going on...

And I have to say...

SuperFit was pulling out some killer dance moves! (Especially his winter hop! lol)

I'm surprised he didn't twirl!
He alllllways twirls!

A FU skips and hops later...

It was 2012!

**Okay so I have to confess something to you...I didn't last until midnight! I tried, I really did! My feet were FUreezing cold so we had to head back in beFUre the clock struck 12! My icy cold toes got the best of me! The plastic bags could only do so much! I guess I didn't 'reallllly' party like a FU after all lol**

By morning...

We packed up and made our way back home! (Booooo!)

But FUrst...

We stopped FU a New Year's breakFUst at Le Cochon Dingue! (We went to another location, which was on our way back! Score!)

This little Piglet went to the restaurant!

We obviously had coffee while we scanned the menu!

Mmmm...coffee!
Nothing like a warm bowl of caffeine to get you started!

To mark the end of our trip and the beginning of 2012...

SuperFit had the FUrench Toast...

Crazy FU Syrup!

While I had The Moutaineer's Express!

Harvest Crunch, Raspberry Yogurt, Banana, Pure Maple Syrup Crumble and...
A slice of Cranberry Bread.
It was so incredibly satisFUying!

Once FUeled up...

We drove home while listening and singing to some great Rock and Country Tunes! (He's rock, I'm country!)

All in all...

Our New Year's Getaway Weekend was amazing!

It was the perFUct way to end the year and start a new one!

Now...

I've got my goals/resolutions set in place and...

I'm ready FU the new adventures 2012 has in store!

Bring it!

Stay Tuned FU more on *CaNdY FiT*
