Back 2 it...16 weeks later! :)

Finally...

The day came where I could get on the treadmill and start working towards my 2012 goal of running a half-marathon! (Event date not yet confirmed! Step by step..."ooohh baby, gonna get to you" oh sorry, New Kids On The Block came to mind! lol)

FU's on a mission!

As you may or may not recall (or be aware of)...

I sustained an injury to my Hamstring a FU months ago!

I wasn't happy!

After discovering a passion FU running...

I had to take a break until my injury FUlly healed! (Real bummer but I had Physio. orders to follow!)

That being said...

I also had to put a hold on all other forms of cardio too! (It took about 2 weeks to get back on the Elliptical and do more than 30min!)

And in terms of my Spinning...

It took 8 weeks until I could do a FUll class! (And by FUll I mean only doing the seated intervals! I couldn't stand! It was a slow progression!)

Was this 'break' hard on me?

Ummm...Yes!

Why?

Because I love doing all sorts of cardio and most of all...

I enjoy exercising and keeping FIT!

So telling me I couldn't train (this included weight training FU at least a week) and do any type of cardio, well...

That was hard! (I'm used to doing at least 6 hours a week!)

Bummed out FU!

I mean...

I was really, really enjoying running as well as...

The challenge I was giving myself to accomplish something I started out hating!

BAM!
The fingers represent the Kilometres lol

But...

That's all in the past! (Well, you know what I mean!)

Now (16 weeks later!)...

I am ready to get back into the running swing of 'thangs'!(It took a little longer than expected but we didn't want to rush it!)

My first goal (in re-introducing this form of exercise into my program) was to get on the treadmill and do 35 minutes! (I started with a 5 minute warm up with some stretching, of course!)

Was I nervous?

A little. (A side of me was scared I'd feel pain, which meant I'd have to stop!)

But if anything...

I was more excited than ever! (Although seriously hoping I would feel no pain whatsoever!)

Once I got started and into my groove...

I felt awesome! (Oh thank goodness!)

And if one's thing FU sure...

I definitely got my sweat on! (Like ridiculous amounts! lol)

**Warning: These pics are ubber cheesy and I give you permission to laugh AT me (and with me)!!! lol**

This may be the cheesiest!
Run FU Run!

After having completed my first 1/2 hour (Yabadaba-FUUUUU!!!)...

I reFUeled with a Protein Shake!

1 scoop Protein Powder, 12oz Water and 4 Ice Cubes.

Let's hope this is the beginning of my training FU...

A Half-Marathon!

I'll be sure to keep you posted as I go along (sure will!) and...

Make every stride count until then!

Oh, and before I forget...

I brought my Blueberry/Raspberry Mini Protein Loafs to the gym FU SuperFit and SuperSly to try (both batches)! (They've assumed taste testing roles!)

Neither had disgusted looks on their faces (nor that polite smile, pretending it's edible look- you know which one I'm talking about! lol)...

And like me...

Enjoyed Batch #2 the best! (Still liking #1 but #2 taking the lead!)

I should also mention...

SuperSly made my Oatmeal Carob Chip Protein Cookies and brought one FU me to taste...

He switched the Carob Chips 4 Choco Chips.
Umm..holy schmokes.
That's all I'm going to say about that lol

Have you told me which you like best yet?!

Questions FU you...

1. What are you training towards?
2. If so, what?
3. Are you excited, nervous or both?!

Stay Tuned FU more on *CaNdY FiT*
