Ate, Ran, Spun & Registered!!!

Keeping up with the program...

I started one recent Sunday morning with a great breakFUst (well, I thought it was great! lol) followed by a good dose cardio!

That cardio being...

SuperFit's spin class! (Killer spin class to be more specific!) 

BeFUre preparing my Blackberry Oatmeal Protein Pancakes...

I put on my Cooking Hat to set the mood!

Puuurrrfect!

Once secured on my big head...

I was ready to get on with the show!

I loaded up the blender with:

  • 1/2 cup Instant Oatmeal;
  • 8 Egg Whites;
  • 1 tbsp. Ground Flax Seeds;
  • 2 Packets of Vanilla Stevia;
  • 1 tsp. of Cinnamon; and
  • 1 handFUl of Blackberries (you can switch it up FU other Berries of choice or a Banana).

Not blended.
Blended.

Of course...

I sipped on a coffee while making these bad boys!


Once blended...

I made sure my fry pan was set to a medium/low heat! (I honestly swear by my Swiss Diamond Pans! They're the best I've ever used! Even SuperFit can't get over them - and he hates cooking! lol)

I then poured the mixture into the pan (bit by bit) and made smaller sized pancakes! (Size is up to you!)

Heating them up nice and slow.
Niiiiiice and slooooooooow.

As soon as one side was cooked...

I flipped them over to cook the other! (Pretty obvious right?! lol)


When ready...

I plated my breakFUst utilizing my awesome plating skills and...

Enjoyed it all! (And when I say all, I mean ALL! lol)


Once gobbled...

I got ready FU SuperFit's Killer Spin Class at Florida Fitness Aylmer! (Not immediately after, I needed to digest! Common now lol)

In FUll training mode!

As usual...

He brought us through various intervals and speeds!

Known FU his awesome (cough cough...tough!) classes...

He'll quickly have you know:

"If you came for a picnic ride, you're in the wrong class because you're here to train!"

"You can Smile, Talk and Laugh when it's all over!"
FU all those who've taken his class...
You know exactly what I'm talking about! lol

**I like how he focuses his teachings on ways FU you to become a better Cyclist...being one himself! And, as you know, that is one of my 2012 goals...to become a better Cyclist! More specifically, a better Climber!**

Since we got to the gym pretty early (to set up the bikes)...

I ended up running 20 minutes on the treadmill to warm up! (Our awesome friends set them up beFUre we got there! So, I made the most of my spare time!)

As this would be the second time I run since my injury...


I was happy (once again) that...

No pain was had...at all! (YaY!!!!)

Although I will tell you one thing...

The amount of sweat I generate when I run is pretty ridiculous! (And I thought I sweat a lot during a spin class! Apparently not! lol)

I was quickly reminded of my 'sweatiness'...
After being on the treadmill FU 10 minutes.

Once I got off the treadmill...

I patted myself dry only to sweat some more!

After surviving SuperFit's teachings...

I decided to sign up FU my very FUrst Running event!!! (I was on a cardio high!)

I ended up registering FU the 10K run with Run Ottawa, which is taking place in May!
Without a doubt...

I'm super excited about it because I never once thought I'd ever take part in this sport...

Let alone a running event!

Although I've ran 10K beFUre...


I want to 'master' it!

Meaning...

I want to better my time and pace! (Previously running it at 1h'ish)

So from now until May, that will be my Running Goal!

Run 10k in less than 1 hour by sustaining a slight increase in my pace!

I believe this to be...

realistic, manageable and achievable goal! 

The face of determination lol

All to say...

I'm super excited and thrilled to get started with my training!

Did I say I was excited?!!

Because I am!
