Week 4: It's a Start!

**October 21 - October 22**

Since my injury ~click~...

Doing nothing is not my thing.
Contrary to the look on my face...
I'm actually pretty happy here ;)

I've been back for a FU more Physio sessions...

I like this machine...
They put icy cold suction cups on my knee and...
I get to control the tiny shocks that help my muscles contract.
Trust me, I'd rather not have to do this!

My FUll recovery timeline is still undetermined but...

As of today (October 23, which is one week since it all happened)...

I am feeling a million times better! (I can walk faster and I've been liberated of my crutches! The Physio Therapist was surprisingly shocked!)

Bye Bye!!!

So what does this all mean?!

1. I have to take it easy on my cardio (no spinning, biking (outside) or running as of yet)

My FUrst 5 minutes at Physio went well :)
Pedaling...
Without much pain :)

Good thing Leonardo stepped up his game to make up FU my lack of time on the cardio FUront!

Meet Leonardo.
He likes to run on the treadmill.
**Not our dog**

And...

2. Stay off the leg training FU a while. (I figured that much!)

Translation...

1. I can train my upper body (but being extremely mindFUl of my movement while training); and
2. My 'diet' will simply have to be readjusted! (Translation: carb cycling has started earlier than anticipated!)

Meaning:

Protein Pancakes...

Nom!

And Oatmeal Protein Bowls...

Greek Yogurt and Quick Oats!
I'll alternate between Kashi Go Lean Crunch and Oatmeal
depending on my 'dieting' rules.

Are looking more like...

Omellettes.
Egg Whites, Sliced Allegro Cheese, Yellow Peppers,
Mushrooms and Basil.
Or Egg Whites...
(Sprinkled with Vanilla Stevia)

Rice Bowls...

Mmmm rice :)

Are more like salads...

Seasoned with Hickory Molasses Char Crust.
www.charcrust.com
Pulled Chicken (simply FUrk through your protein) with...
 Homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette
~click~

But either way...

My meals are still delish! (Even without the carbs!)

Nom Nom Nom!

All in all...

I gotta do what I gotta do to keep the momentum going! (I'm not going to 'excuse' myself from the goal(s) I have set beFUre me!)

Luckily FU me...

I still get to have my weekly Sushi Dinners! (FUew!!!)

I get it once a week until FUrther notice :)

**Note: Carb cycling FU me = managing how many carbs I get to eat a day. It is subject to change at any given time, which is all dependent on the results my body produces. Like I've mentioned beFUre in many of my posts, my metabolism is slow (as a result of my inactivity FU so many years), so I'm still working on revving it back up into FUll speed. I'm getting there!**

In addition to my road to recovery...

I received great news throughout this ordeal, which involves...

Two giveaways!

The FUrst being...

In the end...

Through the good and 'not-so-good' news came...

FUNtastic News!!!

Even if a FU things were put on a hold or readjusted...

There was a lot of good that happened through it all :)

1. My recovery is going really well;
2. I've got two Giveaways FU you; and
3. I made a little something something to keep my motivation high!

A little treat I made myself :)
