And so it begins...

The Fall season welcomes me with plenty of travel...

And...

Loads of temptation!

During my latest trip...

I went in a little more relaxed with my 'diet'(I thought I'd give it a try!)

As I am now FUllowing a lifestyle FUeled by exercise...

Which now includes Running!

 and...

Healthy eating!

Exciting, I know ;)

This means...

I don't have to pack 12 chicken breasts and peppers in my suitcase every time I leave the city! (As I'm not in pre-competition mode!)

That said...

The lifestyle I have chosen to FUllow has given me an appreciation FU what I used to take FU granted:

Health and my own personal well-being!

So trust me...

I am not going back to a life without exercising or proper nutrition! (I've made a choice and I FUlly believe it was is the right one to have made!)

Moving on...

While in Regina, Saskatchewan...

I made sure to clock in some gym time!

I had shoulders and Cardio left in my routine.

The entrance wasn't the most welcoming...

I felt like I was entering some kind of jail.
At 5am...
It had a bit of an eery feel to it!
Especially when alone!

But...

It had everything I could have asked for (and needed!)!

WoO HoO!
I had my choice of cardio equipment.
And Free Weights.

I started off with...

The Elliptical.
I watched CBC News for 1/2 hour.
Notice the message on the screen lol

I then switched to the bike...

The tension was controlled by turning the air pressure up or down.
DifFUrent from the knob on a regular spin bike.

I ended my workout with...

Seated Shoulder Dumbbell Presses.

In the end...

I was happy to have been able to FUnish off my exercise program in a difFUrent city!

During my FUrst day away from home...

I splurged a little and had eggs and toast!

Rye Toast with a little butter.
This was had during a long wait between connecting FUlights
early in the A.M.

Although...

I quickly learned in the FU hours away from home...

I should have brought a little more protein with me!

That said...

I did the best I could to keep my meals as clean as possible! (When you're used to making 95% of your own meals it's hard to let go of your 'clean' slate. Pun intended lol)

When we got to our destination...

It was lunch time!

Right from the Buffet (one plate - no second servings):
A piece of Cod with Tomato Sauce and a sprinkle of Parm. (I think),
Salad and Beets.

By the time dinner came along...

I ordered room service!

Vegetable Soup
No cream or milk and I skipped on the breadstick
Grilled Chicken on a bed of Arugula with a FU Slices of an Asian Pear.
Oil and Lemon Vinaigrette on side.

I believe the choices I made were great ones as the Pizza and Hamburger had deFUnitely caught my eye! (If these options had been presented to me in the past, I would have gone with the Meatlovers Pizza!)

By early morning...

It was time to get up and start my day! (My ubber busy day that is!)

UnFUrtunately FU me...

The only protein options during the breakFUst Buffet were:

1. Bacon; and
2. Sausage.

I know I said I was going in relaxed but...

There are limits to my own 'relaxation'! (I need to continue practicing healthy eating habits and being away isn't an excuse to go off the track.)

So what did I do?

I made a special request FU Granola and Yogurt! (I had this FU the next two days!)

Nom!
Super Nom!
They brought me Greek Yogurt! (Yipee!)

I also helped myself to a FUruit Kabob later in the morning!

Ultra Nom!

And had my fair share of coffee...

And Gum.

My lunches included...

A big salad on the FUrst day...
My only protein source was the red beans and chickpeas.
My other options would have been the meat in the pasta.
On the second day...
I had the inside of a Chicken Wrap, a FU Pickles and Olives as well as a Soup.

Dessert was also make available throughout both days...

But I skipped on all the ofFUrings!

While in Regina...

I met up with a good FUrend over drinks...

 I had a Virgin Caesar!
Shainer!
We met at O'Hanlon's...
It was a busy joint.

We later went to dinner next door...

Michi Japanese Restaurant.
I bet you can just imagine what I ordered! lol
I started with Seaweed Salad.
My colleague met up with us FU dinner...
She started with the Tuna and Avocado Salad.
I then had a Salmon Roll and one of their Special Tuna Rolls.
Their Wasabe was FU'in hot!

After calling it a night...

I was happy to have had the chance to catch up with an old FUrend of mine! (I hadn't seen him in over a year!)

When I got back to my room...

I packed up my things as I would be coming back home the FUllowing evening! (2am to be exact!)

To my lovely surprise...

Parfaits were out FU our taking the next day!

I love Parfaits!

Soon enough...

It was time to make our way to the airport! (I was looking FUward to sleeping in my own bed and seeing SuperFit! Of course, SuperFit being what I was most looking FUward to lol)

As dinner time rolled along...

I had a Sandwich!

It was okay.

I must admit...

My being more 'relaxed' on this trip didn't prove to be the best idea! (I should have known, but was willing to give it a shot!)

I mean of course...

I did enjoy a FU things...

But...

Not knowing if I would get enough protein or clean options made FU less of a 'relaxing' time when it comes to my 'diet'!

So with that being said...

I will certainly pack up a FU extra things in my suitcase come the next trip! (Probably baggies filled with Chicken Breasts and Peppers! There's truly no escaping it! lol)

Here we go again ;)

Stay Tuned FU More on *CaNdY FiT*

Oh and FU your inFUrmation...

I've got a new goal set to begin on Monday, October 3 (at which point I will be 11 weeks away from something FUn!)

It's not a competition but the new 'diet' will begin then! (Stay tuned!)

  1. Ok, you know I've been reading heaps of your posts lately, so hopefully this isn't tooooooo weird, but how on earth do you manage to take chicken breasts with you? I freak out about letting chicken sit at room temperature, and the idea of bagging it up in a suitcase is alien to me. What's the secret?!

    1. LOL! I love it Kate! :)

      No secret...

Flight isn't long enough for me to worry about my chicken! If it were too long, then I'd go to a grocery store upon arrival and buy a whole chicken. I also always make sure there's a fridge in my room!

If I'm driving, a cooler is key! :)

I hope you got some work done this weekend ;)
