Running with SuperFit!

As I've ventured into the realm of the running world...

SuperFit decided he too would do the same! (He retired from running a FU years back but has chosen to get back into it! Yahoo!)

Not knowing if he was still FIT enough to run!
But let's get real...
He's SuperFit damnit! ;)

As we prepared ourselves FU our FUrst run together...

I was secretly hoping I'd be better!

I was excited he wanted to take part in my newfound goal! (I was happy to have somehow motivated him to put  his 'running' shoes back on! (Literally!))

I think we shared the same level excitement!
Actually...
He may have been a touch more thrilled ;)

We decided to run a 5K and I must admit...

He is one hell of a fast runner! (I think he's been running behind my back!)

**We took it down a notch to keep it at a pace manageable FU me! Averaging at about 6.02**

Instead of going my normal route...

He took me out on a scenic run! (I loved it!)

We even did a FU hills and a little gravel! (The intensity changed slightly, I will admit!)

As we ran together...

He gave me a FU tips on my posture as well as telling me to keep my feet in! (I'm a tad pigeon toe'd!)

By the end of our run...

SuperFit looked the same as he did beFUre we took off!

I guess this is why we call him SuperFit!
When we got inside...
We gave each other a 'thumbs' up FU a job well done...
Together!

Overall...

My FUrst experience running with SuperFit was a good great one! (There is no denying the Natural Coach in him!)

Needless to say...

There would deFUnitely be a next time!

As the week went on...

I loaded up on some much needed FUel to keep our juices going!

All the things that keep us Healthy :)

With this FUel...

I made some pretty simple dinners! (That also made FU great leftover lunches!)

Such as:

A Beef and Veggie Stir-FUry...
PAM Sprayed Pan, Lean Beef Strips, Broccoli, Mushrooms and
MTL Steak Spice.
I always cook the veggies FU about 8 minutes beFUre adding the Beef.
This one's FU you SuperFit! :)
Grilled Chicken with BBQ Sauce, Baked Asparagus (click) and a Sweet Potato.
I microwave sweet potatoes FU about 5 minutes b4 putting them in the oven at
415F FU about another 15.
I also chose to have my Mom's Spag. Sauce one night :)
It's so nomeeliscious!
I'll get the rights to share her FUmous recipe soon ;)

By the time the weekend rolled along...

I got ready FU my long run of the week! (8K)

Again...

My run training schedule is:

3K;
5K; and
8K.

BeFUre heading out...

I started off with my FUvorite breakFUst bowl! (It hits the spot every time!)

Greek Yogurt, Kashi Go Lean Crunch, Carob Chips and Vanilla Stevia.

Once again...

I updated my playlist! (I opted FU a slower beat to start!)

Like really slow!

And this time...

I even chose to take a difFUrent route! (I'm getting a little more adventurous!)

To my luck...

It proved to be really enjoyable! (I'll be doing it again FU my next long run!)

By the time I got back...

I was happy to have ran another...

8K!
I don't sweat ;)

I topped off my run with a protein smoothie...

1 Scoop of Protein Powder, 4 o.z. of Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk,
3 o.z. of Water, 1 tbsp of Greek Yogurt, 1 HandFUl of Spinach, 5 Ice Cubes and
1 tsp of Xantham Gum (FU that extra thickness!)

As I enjoyed my nomee post-run drink...

SuperFit was out riding!

When he got back...

We got ready to meet a FUrend to wish her a very happy birthday!

But FUrst...

I stopped by a Bakery to get her a CuPcAkE! (Obviously!)

151B Second Avenue
Ottawa
You'll never get to see the CuPcAkE!
Seriously.
Only the one on the card!
But trust me....
The Lemon Butter Cream CuPcaKe looked FUreakin' delish!!!

One CuPcAkE purchase later...

Ally (the Birthday Girl!) arrived!

We've been FUrends since grade 7!

After a quick but sound catch up...

We said our goodbyes!

Although...

SuperFit and I decided to stay at Bridgehead little while longer as we were enjoying our hot drinks...

A Chai Latte (FU him)
And a...
Non-Fat Cappuccino (FU me)
Mmmmm.

When we got home...

We relaxed and ate dinner!

SuperFit started with a side salad and had
Chicken and Rice as his main course.
While I had a Chicken Salad!
It was Super Nom!
Lettuce, Homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette, Cherry Tomatoes,
Goat Cheese, SunFUlower Seeds and Raisins.

We called it a night after a good dose of...

THOR!

I really didn't have a hard time watching him...
I mean the movie!

Plus...

I had to get a good night's sleep because...

I gave myself a smallish type goal to accomplish the next morning!

Questions FU you...

1. FUvorite Coffee Shop?
2. Have you seen THOR? If so, did you like it? (The movie and the actor lol)

Stay Tuned FU more on *CaNdY FiT*

  1. You are doing awesome..love your recipes.

Did not like Thor at all. I usually go for this type of movie..but not this one!! My fav coffee shop is "I Tan" in Sandy Hill. They have the greatest Chai Latte and cinammon buns.
